FANTASY INSIGHTS
Elijah Mitchell joins the 49ers’ RB room, which may seem overcrowded right now. However, after this year it will just be Mitchell and Sermon. I really like his outlook here as he is just the type of RB the 9ers like to employ. They also typically run a modified committee so Mitchell should be able to secure touches. Plus the 9ers don’t care about draft capital. If Mitchell outperforms the other RBs in that room he can command the most touches. And then if Sermon were ever to get hurt we could see some big games from Mitchell as the main RB in that offense. Mitchell is a guy that I will be targeting in the mid to late third of Superflex rookie drafts. He can be a solid role player for your fantasy team with starter upside if he either wins the job or an injury occurs. Mitchell is a rookie I want to own.
