Dakorien Moore | WR | 5’11” 185 lbs | Oregon Commit
Today, we’ll be taking a look at the top wide receiver recruit in the 2025 high school class, Dakorien Moore. I’ve been able to watch tape on most of the top WR recruits in this class, and I have to say that Moore may be in a tier of his own with his skill set. He absolutely pops on film and leaves you saying “WOW” repeatedly. We’ll discuss his traits later in this article, but let’s start by looking at some numbers.
Duncanville HS
Moore was a four-year letter earner for Duncanville High School in Duncanville, Texas, producing from Day 1. This may feel like the expectation for a five-star prospect like Moore, but Duncanville is one of the nation’s best high school football programs. They won back-to-back 6A state championships in 2022 and 2023 and were ranked as the 6th-best team in the country this year.
Below is a breakdown of Moore’s receiving numbers through his four seasons at Duncanville:
| Receptions | Yards | TDs | |
| 2021 (Fr.) | 15 | 366 | 5 |
| 2022 (So.) | 44 | 764 | 6 |
| 2023 (Jr.) | 71 | 1523 | 18 |
| 2024 (Sr.) | 74 | 1460 | 19 |
| Total | 204 | 4113 | 48 |
He officially broke out as a junior, surpassing 1,500 receiving yards on the year and finding the endzone 18 times. Moore followed this up with similar numbers in 2024, with 1,460 receiving yards and 19 receiving TDs. For his high school career, Moore finished with over 4,000 receiving yards and 48 TDs. These are ridiculous numbers to post on one of the top programs in the country.
Dakorien did this alongside some elite competition as well. Junior WR Ayson Theus had over 1,000 receiving yards and 11 touchdowns this season for Duncanville. He currently has offers from Baylor, TCU, Auburn, and Nebraska. The Panthers also have junior Zach Turner, who plays both TE and WR and has offers from Oklahoma, Oregon, SMU, Baylor, and Nebraska. He amassed 933 yards and 14 touchdowns in 2024.
Oh, and the quarterback for Duncanville is none other than Keelon Russell, Alabama commit and the #1 dual-threat QB in the 2025 class, according to ESPN. As you can see, this roster is LOADED.
Moore was also a track star in college, running a 10.4 100-meter dash and a 21.70 200-meter. As a junior, he placed fifth in the Texas 6A state championship for the long jump and was part of the 4X200 relay team that won the state championship last year.
Film
Moore is a twitchy athlete who is extremely dangerous in the open field. He’s a big-play threat every time he touches the football, given his elusiveness and overall speed. It was virtually impossible for these high school DBs to bring Moore down when he got space.
Dakorien possesses elite ball skills, spatial awareness, and body control and displays very reliable hands. He appears to be very good in contested catch situations, making highlight grabs where it looks like there’s no way he could bring the football in. His short-area quickness and long speed are both elite, and he relies on this skillset heavily to get himself open and create yards after the catch. He won’t be the strongest receiver in CFB, but he has sufficient play strength and welcomes contact. His catch radius is pretty large for his size (5’11”, 185 lbs) as well. I believe he can excel in the slot and on the boundary at the next level, and I am interested to see how Oregon utilizes him in Year 1.
Dynasty/Devy Value
I expect Moore to come in and immediately be the WR2 behind Evan Stewart in 2025. Former FSU and Alabama WR Malik Benson is the only other real competition here, but I don’t expect him to slow down Moore’s production. Income freshman and four-star recruit Cooper Perry may also be a WR to keep an eye on for the Ducks next year. QB Dante Moore should be the man under center next season with Dillon Gabriel leaving for the NFL. Players and fans alike are excited to finally see Dante in action, who was a highly touted recruit from the 2023 class.
In terms of Devy startup value, Moore should be valued as a Top 10 WR prospect. The names I’m confidently taking over Moore are Jeremiah Smith, Ryan Williams, and Carnell Tate. I’m also likely taking Evan Stewart and Cam Coleman over him. Dakorien should fall in that next tier of WRs, with guys like Ryan Wingo, Bryant Wesco, T.J. Moore, and Jordyn Tyson. Moore could very well be a Top 3 WR in Devy as early as next year with a big freshman season. But given that he won’t hit our Dynasty rosters until 2028, you do have to discount the prospect slightly, even if all signs point to him being a future NFL star.
