2026 Dynasty Rookie Mock Draft With Landing Spots – Part 1

Itโ€™s mock draft time! These are my favorite fantasy football articles to write; after all, who doesn’t love drafting? In todayโ€™s article, Iโ€™ll be covering Round 1 of my two-round Dynasty Rookie mock draft, based on landing spots from the most recent 2026 NFL Mock Draft on Tankathon. This draft is based on Superflex and Tight End Premium league settings. Below, Iโ€™ll provide the draft capital and landing spot for each prospect from the first four rounds of this NFL mock.ย

Round 1:ย

Round 2:ย

Round 3:ย

Round 4:ย

Based on the information above, here is how my first round would go:

1.01 – Jeremiah Love (RB – MIN)

Jeremiyah Love is the only RB taken in the first two rounds of this NFL mock, going to the Minnesota Vikings. We know of the quarterback struggles in Minnesota, but maybe Love is the piece McCarthy needs to take that next step. The Vikings can save $8M but cutting 31-year-old Aaron Jones before 2026. Even if they donโ€™t, this is obviously Loveโ€™s backfield. Clear 1.01.ย

1.02 – Jordyn Tyson (WR – WAS)

This is a spot where Iโ€™d be looking to trade back, as I donโ€™t see much of a difference in range of outcomes between my 1.02 and 1.04 selections. Tiebreak goes to the WR with Top 10 draft capital. Tyson is headed to the Commanders, where he should be the immediate WR2 for Jayden Daniels, and the WR1 as soon as 2027. Deebo will be a free agent, and McLaurin will be 31 in 2026, with a potential for Washington to part ways after next season. We just need Jayden to stay healthy.ย

1.03 – Makai Lemon (WR – NYJ)

The big question here is who will be under center for the New York Jets in 2026, as they opted to pass on the quarterback position in this draft. Maybe they re-sign Tyrod Taylor, or maybe they bring in another veteran, like Jameis Winston or Marcus Mariota. Either way, this team will certainly be bad in 2026, which may mean some early frustrations for Lemon owners in Dynasty. That said, we know the 2025 Biletnikoff winner is an elite talent; I would expect him to challenge Garrett Wilson for WR1 honors. Have some patience with Lemon – he will pay off eventually.ย

1.04 – Carnell Tate (WR – MIA)

With Tate going to Miami 13th overall, I would assume the Dolphins cut ties with Tyreek Hill. This is far from a perfect situation, given Tuaโ€™s inconsistencies and the holes in the offensive line. The plus side is that Tate could establish himself as the WR1 in this offense, with Jaylen Waddle continuing to underwhelm, relatively speaking. Tate wonโ€™t be the greatest athlete at the position, but there are very few guys with the hands and contested-catch ability that Tate has displayed at Ohio State.ย

1.05 – Fernando Mendoza (QB – LV)

Mendoza wonโ€™t be making the Raiders a Super Bowl contender right out the gate, but Iโ€™d be surprised if he wasnโ€™t a clear upgrade from the version of Geno Smith weโ€™ve seen this year. The Heisman winner has been highly efficient for the Hoosiers this season, leading them to a 13-0 record and the B1G Championship. Still, this is a guy who projects better for real life than fantasy. Mendoza rarely makes mistakes, but he doesnโ€™t post gaudy passing numbers, and heโ€™s not a threat on the ground. Heโ€™s a fine pick at 1.05, but donโ€™t expect much more than 17-18 PPG from him.ย

1.06 – Kevin Concepcion (WR – CLE)

Kevin โ€œKCโ€ Concepcion sneaks into the first round of this mock draft, headed to the Browns with a new rookie quarterback, who weโ€™ll discuss shortly. After a down year in 2024, Concepcion has bounced back nicely in Year 3, with nearly 900 receiving yards and nine touchdowns. Heโ€™s been efficient per route, posting a 28.4% target rate (TPRR) and 2.71 yards per route run (YPRR). KC has shown heโ€™s more than just a gadget player, and given the Browns’ current depth chart, I donโ€™t see why he couldnโ€™t be the top target in this offense moving forward.ย

1.07 – Dante Moore (QB – CLE)

The Cleveland Browns clearly didnโ€™t see enough out of Shedeur to trust him heading into 2026, as they used their sixth overall pick on another quarterback in Dante Moore. Mooreโ€™s fantasy outlook is nearly identical to Mendonza: a rookie quarterback headed into a terrible situation where heโ€™ll likely struggle early, and he wonโ€™t be bailing you out with any massive fantasy games from a rushing perspective. Youโ€™re not drafting Moore to win you fantasy leagues in 2026; the bet here is that the situation slowly improves and Moore turns into a high-end QB2 within a year or so.ย

1.08 – Ty Simpson (QB – ARI)

Say what you will about Ty Simpson as a prospect, but if heโ€™s going sixth overall in the NFL Draft and stepping into a starting role right away, itโ€™s tough to put him much lower than this in Superflex formats. Heโ€™ll be working with two young ascending talents in Marvin Harrison Jr. and Trey McBride, and gets some additional weapons in this draft, with Arizona drafting Jadarian Price (RB – ND) and Ian Strong (WR – Rutgers). Jacoby has managed to post QB1 numbers (Top 12) for nine straight weeks now, so maybe Simpson can follow suit.ย

1.09 – Kenyon Sadiq (TE – TB)

The analytics community is not going to be very high on Sadiq, I can tell you that right now. His raw numbers are fairly disappointing; he doesnโ€™t earn targets at a very high rate, and heโ€™s had some drop issues in college. All that considered, this is still a Tight End Premium mock, and Sadiq goes 19th overall to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, a team that knows how to score points and needs a dominant tight end presence. Iโ€™d be fine rolling the dice on Sadiq here; his athleticism and ball skills make him an intriguing fantasy target.ย

1.10 – Jonah Coleman (RB – NO)

Though he fell to Round 3 in this mock, Coleman was still a Top 3 RB taken off the board, and heads to a situation where he could very easily earn himself the three-down role. At age 30, Kamara has proven he is completely washed, and he is dealing with injury troubles on top of this. After that, we have Kendre Miller, whose career may be over before it started due to injuries, and Devin Neal, a sixth-round rookie pick. Coleman needs volume to thrive from a fantasy perspective, and volume is exactly what heโ€™ll get in New Orleans.ย

1.11 – Garrett Nussmeier (QB – PIT)

While Nuss doesnโ€™t get the Round 1 draft capital many were hoping for, he lands in a spot where he could be competing for QB1 honors right away. With Aaron Rodgers likely retiring after this season, the only guys in his way would be Mason Rudolph and Will Howard. There were talks of Nussmeier being the top quarterback in the 2026 draft class heading into this season, and it looks like he may get his shot to prove that true.ย

1.12 – Denzel Boston (WR – PHI)

Wrapping up Round 1, weโ€™ll go with Denzel Boston, X receiver heading to Philadelphia. You love to see first-round draft capital for the young man, but the situation he finds himself in is pretty bleak. AJ Brown and DeVonta Smith are both under contract for the next several seasons, putting Boston down as the third option on a team that doesnโ€™t throw the ball much. If youโ€™re drafting Boston here, youโ€™re hoping AJB or Smith gets traded in 2026. Otherwise, youโ€™ll need to stay patient, because it could be a rocky road until the situation changes.ย
