You might’ve noticed that the title of this article differs slightly from the QB and RB articles I released. That’s because the WR1 of the 2027 class is as set in stone as we’ve ever seen. Barring some sort of traumatic injury, Jeremiah Smith is locked in as the top dog and a top-5 overall pick in the NFL Draft next April.
We don’t need to go into detail with Smith’s prospect profile; you already know everything there is to know about this generational prospect. Instead, I’m going to try to help answer the question: who is the WR2 overall in the 2027 draft class?
If you missed the quarterback or running back articles in this series, be sure to click the links here. With that, let’s talk wide receivers.
Who’s after Jeremiah Smith?
Similar to the quarterback article, I compiled a list of guys I think have at least an outside shot at being the WR2 in this draft class. Unlike the quarterback article, this list will be considerably shorter.
Cam Coleman
Ryan Coleman-Williams
Jayce Brown
Bryant Wesco
T.J. Moore
Nick Marsh
Mario Craver
I’ll be removing prospects from contention one at a time, starting with my lowest-rated of the group from a devy perspective.
