Back again in Week 4 with your dynasty waiver wire targets! Take a look below at some of the most intriguing adds for your dynasty team from an injury-filled Week 4.
Maxx Williams
The Cardinals have been without a primary tight end during the entirety of the Kyler Murray Era. However, they may have found their guy in seventh-year man, Maxx Williams. Williams had spent the first four years of his career in Baltimore and had his best statistical year in his rookie campaign. Since then, he has been a forgotten man. Now, with one of the most potent offenses in the NFL, Williams appears to have found new life. Williams should easily put up career numbers this season as he has 15 catches, 179 yards, and 2 touchdowns through four games. This is the most touchdowns he has had in any season of his career and the third most catches. Slotting in as TE 1 in this offense, he has plenty of dynasty appeal this season and should be rostered especially for the upcoming bye week fill-ins.Â
Josh Reynolds
Fantasy football is often referred to as the war of attrition, and when attrition happens you have to capitalize on the next man up. For the Tennessee Titans, Reynolds was just that. Reynolds finished the game with an 18% target share bringing down six receptions for 59 yards. Given the shaky health of both Julio Jones and A.J. Brown, Reynolds could be the next man up a lot. Having played the first four seasons of his career with the Rams, he finds himself out in Tennessee now looking to match his 2020 season which was the best of his career. While the offense is generally low volume, Reynolds has dynasty value given the unclear outlook of the Titans’ top two receivers week in and week out. Stash Reynolds and monitor the health of the Titans’ receivers week over week.Â
Damien Williams
David Montgomery left late in the Bears game with a knee injury and the severity is currently unknown. If Montgomery is to miss any time, the next man up is going to be a familiar fantasy face in Damien Williams. Williams has a history with the Kansas City Chiefs and many thought he was robbed of the Super Bowl MVP after having rushed for 104 yards and adding two touchdowns in the Chiefs win over the 49ers back in 2019. He sat out in 2020 but is back with a new team in 2021. Williams has immediate flex value, if not RB2 value, if Montgomery is forced to miss any time and is the #1 waiver add in all formats. Williams pitched in for 70 total yards and a touchdown in the Bears’ win over the Lions in Week 4 and showed his potential as both a rusher and a pass catcher for fantasy teams if his name is called. He is worth a substantial amount of FAAB assuming Montgomery’s injury is as serious as it appeared.
