Rounds 1 and 2 Redraft Rankings Update: Part 2

In late February and early March, I published a pair of articles about my early redraft Round 1 and Round 2 rankings. These rankings assume a 1QB, PPR format where there is an equal number of running back and wide receiver starters. On average their careers last roughly three years and it’s impossible to predict when an injury will end a season for one player and start it for the next. In this article, I’ll be diving into metrics that show you why I love these three backs who will exceed your expectations going into 2020 after breaking out last season. You need to have an RB1 that can handle the rigors of the season, produce with limited carries, and avoid contact in order to avoid injury.  Our fantasy expectation has to shift from the total number of carries per game and more towards the total number of touches. Terry McLaurin still proves to be the only wide receiver in Washington that you can put in your lineup with any confidence. He lit up the Dolphins for 100 yards and two touchdowns on only 4 receptions (seven targets). The rain put a damper on his game against San Francisco, where Washington was held scoreless. The Vikings are a middle of the road pass defense while the Bills are a top-five, so you may need to temper expectations.
