Carson Beck was drafted by the Arizona Cardinals, becoming the 3rd quarterback and 65th overall player in the 2026 NFL Draft.
COLLEGE PRODUCTION

Carson Beck brought experience and production with him to Miami, and he delivered in 2025.

He threw for 3,813 yards and 30 touchdowns, while completing 72.4% of his passes. That’s high-level efficiency, especially with 468 attempts, which shows he was carrying a real workload.

The 8.2 yards per attempt tells you he wasn’t just living off short throws either. He was pushing the ball when needed and keeping the offense moving.

2025 Rookie Draft Prospect Faceoff: Cam Ward vs. Shedeur Sanders

Welcome back for our second edition of the 2025 Rookie Prospect Faceoff, where we’ll compare quarterbacks Cameron Ward and Shedeur Sanders head-to-head for Dynasty purposes and potentially two guys who could be sleepers in Daily Fantasy NFL in 2025. If you missed the first article where I debated Luther Burden vs. Emeka Egbuka, you can check that out here. Ward and Sanders are generally considered the Top 2 QBs in this draft class and a tier of their own. (With Jalen Milroe declaring for the NFL Draft, one could make an argument he belongs in this tier as well, given his rushing upside.) There’s no denying this 2025 quarterback class appears to be much weaker than the 2024 class, but in Superflex formats, these two signal-callers should still be early-to-mid first-round picks in our rookie drafts, as they are both projected to be Top 10 picks in the NFL Draft. In Miami’s regular-season finale, 6’4” 224 lbs. redshirt freshman, Tyler Van Dyke led the Hurricanes to a convincing 47-10 win over the Duke Blue Devils, throwing for 381 yards and three touchdowns. After taking over for injured D’Eriq King in Week 4, Van Dyke had a couple of rough outings, but starting in late October Van Dyke has looked like a very good young QB. Since Miami’s victory over NC State, Van Dyke has completed 66% of his passes for 2,194 yards, 20 touchdowns, three interceptions, and has a passer rating of 171.85. In his 10 appearances on the year, Van Dyke leads the ACC in Passing Yards Per Attempt with nine and is second in the conference in Passing Efficiency Rating at 160.1. I find his efficiency as a first-year starter to be very impressive.

The Freakiest Athletes in College Football for 2021: Part 5

The USC receiver also participates on the USC basketball team. Standing at 6’5” and 210 lbs. London has a skill set that allows him to succeed in both basketball and football at the division-one collegiate level. His 38” vertical leap along with his stiff, and ridged running style project him to be a solid big-slot receiver or tight end at the NFL level. His decent athleticism to go along with elite size yielded 72 catches for 1,069 yards and eight touchdowns during his USC career. With Amon-Ra St. Brown transitioning to the NFL, and Bru McCoy being released from the USC football program, London should be in line for a high target share in 2021 despite his DeVonta Smith BMI levels.

DFF Draft Coverage: Gregory Rousseau to the Bills

Gregory Rousseau is a part of the enormous list of players that hurt their draft stock by opting out. Ja’Marr Chase and Micah Parsons were the only two players whose opt-outs didn’t affect their draft capital.  Unfortunately, our man Gregory Rousseau made a bad decision. Your author wrote about this back in September in the weekly seasonal “Draft Stock Watch” series. There is no arguing Rousseau’s superior athletic ability and speed around the edge. The DE out of Miami trailed only 2020 number two overall pick Chase Young in total sacks in the entire FBS in 2019.

DFF Draft Coverage: Jaelan Phillips to the Dolphins

Jaelan Phillips is a story where potential finally met opportunity and production in 2020. Phillips began his collegiate career with accolades and notoriety as he was ranked a top-three recruit in the nation in 2017, even ahead of Chase Young. He chose to stay close to home and attend UCLA, where a string of bad injury luck awaited him. Phillips started in four of the seven games he played as a freshman (21 tackles, seven for loss, with 3.5 sacks) but struggled through an ankle injury and suffered a concussion. In 2018, he suffered a wrist injury when he was hit by a car and later suffered another concussion during the season. He gutted through four games compiling 20 total tackles, with one TFL and one sack.

Pro Day Round-Up

Today is March 11, 2021, this is important because we are less than a week away from Free Agency. On March 17th we will likely find out where players such as JuJu Smith-Schuster, Kenny Golladay, Aaron Jones, Will Fuller, Curtis Samuel, Corey Davis, Todd Gurley, Marvin Jones Jr., Kenyan Drake, T.Y. Hilton, A.J. Green, and Hunter Henry will land. There are 43 days until the NFL Draft, and in most years we would have the NFL Combine to overreact to, however, as you know the NFL Combine was canceled due to the pandemic. Although we do not get to see all of the relevant players get their testing measurables in the same conditions, we still will get good data from the school’s Pro-Days.

IDP Draft Preview: Gregory Rousseau

At 6’6” and 265 pounds, the Hurricane defensive lineman has excellent height for a pass rusher. Rousseau has a good base weight but should be able to add even more muscle as he develops in the NFL. His size, explosion, and speed are already above average coming into the NFL, but within a few years, I would expect Rousseau to play at 280 to 290 pounds and become the prototypical size for an NFL defensive end.
