Week 16 Streamers

This is my final real week of streaming coverage. I’ve loved bringing you this article each week for two straight seasons, and it’s sad that the 2020 version will end soon. I’ll probably throw something together for Week 17 as bonus coverage, but we should all move to Week 16 championships. Deciding your fantasy title in Week 17 is silly. With that said, let’s jump into the streamers!

The Dynasty Wire: Week 11

This week and every week going forward we’ll bring you several recommendations for players you should add to your dynasty rosters. We’ll mainly be targeting lower-owned guys who should be available in all but the deepest leagues.

Rogers has been waiver wire surfing the last few weeks after putting up a goose egg in Week 8 and going on bye the following week. But, dropping him was clearly a mistake. He’s scored 14+ fantasy points in three of the last five weeks (one being a bye week) and continues to feast on a high target share and opportunity while the team lacks pass-catching talent.

Dynasty Sleeper of the Week: Jordan Akins

Welcome back to Dynasty Sleeper of the Week! As mentioned in previous weeks, this is not a waiver article. This is more of a player that should be on your radar article. Last week we hit the running back position. This week I am hitting a tight end I believe can be added today that you can plug and play over some TEs you are holding on to in your leagues. That player is Jordan Akins of the Houston Texans. According to ESPN, he is owned in 3.8% of leagues at the moment on My Fantasy League it jumps to 42%, however, I still do not believe that this is enough for a TE that has shown some flashes the past few weeks. If you can grab Jordan today, do it.

Welcome Back to Football

Welcome Back to Football

This will be a super free-form article, where I discuss how exciting it was finally to have football back on Thursday night. Even though the Chiefs-Texans matchup didn’t provide the most exciting football, it felt amazing to see a real-life game. With the COVID-19 pandemic hanging over our heads all summer, I wasn’t sure we’d get to this point. Getting through the first game gives me confidence that we will have a full season.

However, while the game had more emotional significance to me than fantasy significance, it still provided multiple important fantasy storylines that I want to discuss. The Chiefs and Texans have two of the NFL’s best quarterbacks in Patrick Mahomes and Deshaun Watson. The Chiefs’ offense, in particular, is likely the strongest in the league, containing numerous exciting fantasy options. With that all said, let’s focus on a few critical storylines from each team, starting with the Chiefs and followed by the Texans.

#TomBomb: Houston Texans

Any individual who is only able to participate in 66% of their team’s contests, across a four-year-span, is normally one I believe I’d try to steer clear of when assembling my roster. However, with the departure of DeAndre Hopkins and his 150 targets, Old Tom is fully on board with any and all Will Fuller hype. For clarification, I’m not about to wager the farm for this stance but I’d contemplate the chicken coop. The positive here, though, is that I’d venture to say most Fuller-owners don’t feel as strongly about #15 as Old Tom. Can you say discount? If the reports out of the Texans’ camp are true, and Fuller has added both muscle and speed, I’m just not sure I can start to fathom what his upside becomes in 2020 and beyond.
