Robert Henry Jr. | UTSA | 5’9”, 196 lbs | Dec 31, 2001 (24 years)
Robert Henry Jr. signed with the Washington Commanders after going undrafted in the 2026 NFL Draft.
COLLEGE PRODUCTION
Robert Henry Jr. began his career at Jones College, a community college in Mississippi. He produced as a true freshman, but his breakout came in 2022 as a sophomore. That season, Henry rushed for over 1,300 yards and 18 touchdowns, earning first-team NJCAA All-American honors.
Following this noteworthy season, Henry transferred up to D1 football, playing for the Roadrunners of UTSA. He made the jump with no issues, rushing for 11 touchdowns in 2023. This past season was his best one for UTSA, surpassing 1,000 rushing yards and finding the endzone nine times on the ground. He was used minimally in the receiving game, but did have two receiving touchdowns in 2025.
Henry boasted some pretty impressive per-rush numbers in his final season of college football, averaging 6.9 yards per attempt (YPA) and 4.25 yards after contact per attempt (YCO/A).
FILM
Henry displays good vision, burst, and jump-cut ability, and has sufficient enough speed to take it to the house when he hits the third level. His patient but explosive playstyle suits well against zone defense, where he can wait to find the hole and make one decisive cut upfield. Henry measured in about 10 pounds lighter than he was listed on UTSA’s website, putting size and physicality in question. He struggled in pass protection, and this wasn’t even against Power 4 competition. Henry also has a history of struggling with ball protection. Overall, his film shows more green flags than red, but this is against G5 competition.

ATHLETIC TESTING
Henry posted an above-average Relative Athletic Score (RAS) of 7.47. His 4.52 40-time was slightly disappointing given his measurables, but nothing to be concerned with. Henry dominated the explosion part of testing, posting a 37” vertical and a 10’4” broad jump.

DRAFT ANALYSIS
Rapid Reaction to Draft Capital: Poor
Rapid Reaction to Landing Spot: Above-Average
Henry went undrafted in the 2026 NFL Draft, signing with the Washington Commanders as a UDFA. The fact that he couldn’t even sneak into late Day 3 does not bode well for his future dynasty projections. He does, however, land in a spot where there are no standout prospects in the backfield. Henry is currently looking at Rachaad White, Jacory Croskey-Merritt, Kaytron Allen, Jerome Ford, and Jeremy McNichols as his competition. I’m not saying he’s going to make the 53-man roster and carve out a role, but if there’s a chance for him to return any sort of fantasy value, it’s here.
FANTASY INSIGHTS
Henry should not be considered in your typical four-round dynasty rookie drafts. This is a weak draft class, but there are plenty of other wide receiver and tight end dart throws you should make before wasting draft capital on Henry. He is worth a taxi stash after the draft, if you have enough space. You likely won’t have to spend any FAAB on him, and as mentioned above, there are no impressive running backs on this team. It wouldn’t be completely shocking if we read some positive reports about Henry in camp and he had a strong preseason to lock in a roster spot. From there, anything can happen.
