With the collegiate regular season finally finished, the real work for us as dynasty managers has just begun. Even more so if your team is not competing in the playoffs. Later on in the offseason, we’ll deep dive into the 2023 prospects. But in this series, I’d like to profile the biggest names in college that we should be watching next year. We start with Freshman sensation, Quinshon Judkins.
2022 Production
| Year | G | Att. | Yds | Avg. | TD | Rec. | Yds | Avg. | TD |
| 2022 | 12 | 251 | 1476 | 5.9 | 16 | 13 | 116 | 8.9 | 1 |
I’ve added his 2022 season statistics to start off this profile simply as a baseline for his production. Judkins has 251 carries, essentially “splitting” the backfield with another stud running back. We expected 2023 prospect Zach Evans to be the feature back in the Ole Miss offense this season. However, Evans rather quickly lost that “alpha” role to Judkins. The 5’11” 220 lbs back immediately showed a hammer-like running style that forced the coaching staff to make him an integral part of the offense. After the first six games of the season, it became apparent who Ole Miss wanted to use as their featured back. Judkins has had 20+ touches in every contest since Week 7 and has had two 200+ yard games. Yes, all with Zach Evans, a potential dynasty 1st round pick, in the offense alongside him.
Devy Analysis
Here is my early opinion on this 2025 prospect: RB1. Quinshon Judkins has the prototypical build for an NFL running back. He runs north-south 100% of the time and only cuts when he absolutely needs to. He offers extreme efficiency. Judkins has no wasted motion and seems to thrive on contact with the first defenders he sees. His contact balance is unprecedented and already looks like an NFL back at the ripe age of 19. He will have sole possession of the Ole Miss backfield and is already on the radar for multiple collegiate awards in 2023, including the Heisman Trophy. Just so we’re clear, he beat out a five-star upperclassman for the lead role. Judkins is scary good.
Players like Nick Singleton, Branson Robinson, and a recognizably popular name, Trevor Etienne, have always been on the radar for the 2025 class. Quinshon Judkins has catapulted himself into the number one spot for me in the class, and realistically should be considered a top-10 devy start-up pick. We still have a few seasons to watch from Judkins, so put your seatbelts on. He’s one of the best football players in the country, and still has room to climb the rankings in dynasty.
