COLLEGE PRODUCTION

Season Team Class Pos G Rec Yds Y/R TD Y/G
2021 LSU FR WR 13 43 489 11.4 3 37.6
2022 LSU SO WR 12 16 200 12.5 1 16.7
2023 Texas Christian JR WR 8 12 146 12.2 0 18.3
2024 Texas Christian SR WR 12 62 1034 16.7 9 86.2
Career 45 133 1869 14.1 13 41.5

Jack Bech burst on the scene as a True Freshman for the LSU Tigers in 2021, leading the team in receptions and finishing 3rd in receiving yards, which is impressive considering that squad featured future NFL WRs Malik Nabers, Brian Thomas Jr., Trey Palmer, and Kayshon Boutte.

Bech significantly regressed in 2022 and 2023, failing to build upon his first year, averaging just over one catch per game for less than 20 yards between his Sophomore season at LSU and Junior season at Texas Christian University after transferring.

In 2024, Bech broke out, eclipsing 1,000 yards on the year and being named to the 2024 Big 12 All-Conference 2nd Team. Bech caught fire over a 3-game span in September, posting 27 receptions for 497 yards and five touchdowns.

FILM

While separation speed and explosiveness are not a huge part of Bech’s game, he does find ways to attack and track the ball, using his frame and strength to make plays. His decisive and refined route-running allows him to find open areas or get just enough separation for his Quarterback to find him. He plays bigger than his size, fitting in on the outside or as a “big” slot. Regardless of where he lines up, Bech opens himself up as a safe option for his offense.

ATHLETIC TESTING

Bech did not run the forty at the combine but did post decent times in the 3-cone (6.84s) and 20-yard shuttle (4.21s). As mentioned above, he does not possess game-breaking speed but is more than able to do enough to make plays.

DRAFT ANALYSIS

nfl

Rapid Reaction to Draft Capital: Above-average

Rapid Reaction to Landing Spot: Above-average

Bech was a riser throughout the draft process, shining in the Senior Bowl to build on a productive senior season. Entering the draft, Bech was projected as a late day 2/early day 3 pick so this is some nice capital. On top of that, Bech enters a WR room that could use some depth. Although he may be the WR2 for the Raiders, he will be the 3rd pass-catching option after Brock Bowers and Jakobi Meyers. Additionally, Ashton Jeanty figures to fill the primary role in this offense.

FANTASY INSIGHTS

Jack Bech may end up being a better football player than a fantasy football producer, but he is going to have a role in the Raiders’ offense. He won’t be taking many targets away from Brock Bowers, but he will be a sure-handed receiver, likely working out of the slot for Geno Smith & the Raiders offense. Bech projects as a low-end WR4 and WR48 overall, worthy of a mid to late 2nd-round rookie pick. He represents solid depth for your Dynasty squad.
