Welcome back to some DFS with Doug. By now, we have hit our stride and our routine for the NFL season. Every Sunday, we handle the juggling act of getting all of our Dynasty and Redraft lineups in shape while trying to make bets and, of course, submit our DFS lineups to land that big payday. That Sunday morning sweat is my favorite feeling during football season. This week, we will benefit from a football game while doing that with our first international game of the season. Or perhaps you are crazy like me and will be waking up at 5:30 MT to set some Showdown lineups for that game, too!
The season continues moving along, and another DFS main slate comes this Sunday. This slate is a very different animal to tackle with one game with a significantly higher total, a Monday Night Football misprice (I will explain), and even a tropical cyclone moving through the eastern United States.

Welcome to Week 1 DFS, and congrats once again for making it through the offseason. Week 1 DFS is one of the most fun slates of the year for many reasons. Firstly, we have a lot of people playing DFS that will not be in future weeks. These people are putting in lineups without correlations or because they like this guy or that guy, and their lineups are dead on arrival. They are doing us all a favor by paying the rake for us. Secondly, the slate is made so far in advance of Week 1 that there are a bunch of silly good values. So many so that none of them become too chalky. You can build any lineups you want. Let’s build some GPP-winning lineups, shall we?
The anticipation of the very first game of the NFL season was apparent. Me and my kids made sure to have everything done in the house before the game came on and they even got to watch a little before going to bed. But I’m sure that it was the same for many longing for the return of football. We got to see the Super Bowl champion Kansas City Chiefs take on the Detroit Lions on Thursday Night Football. And while that was the main draw, fantasy managers may have had their eyes on a different part of the game as did NFL betting enthusiasts in Michigan.
Week 1 of the NFL Season is finally here! We’ve been analyzing prospects, conjuring up our best player takes, and projecting/predicting how this season will unfold long enough. It’s time to wrap it up and enjoy the point-scoring season in its glory. With the season setting to get underway, and sports bettors itching for NFL action, I thought it would be beneficial to summarize and discuss some of the most exciting and important year-one players and narratives to watch as we head into Week 1 with so much excitement and uncertainty.
This season, I will be giving you DFS (Daily Fantasy Sports) for every Sunday’s main slate. With that being said, it would be difficult to write it every week if I had to derive all this stuff from first principles before I could even touch the individual week at hand. Trey Benson may not be a household name in the same sense that TreVeyon Henderson or Raheim Sanders is, but don’t be surprised if you hear this guy’s name every Sunday a year from now. Benson earned the attention of Devy players midway through his redshirt sophomore campaign, posting some truly impressive numbers and helping the Seminoles to a six-game win streak to end the season. Before we look at his 2022 season and projections for the NFL, let’s start from the beginning.
If there is one thing that goes hand in hand with fantasy sports, it is gambling on football. Today I will share some of my favorite bets and the best NFL betting sites for this upcoming season. Hopefully, these will tell you what players to be high or low on and can therefore come away with potential buys or sells in Dynasty. Without further ado let us dive right in.
Being a late bloomer, Watson was not heavily recruited in high school. He graduated at 6’2″, growing another two inches in college. Watson had a significant growth spurt between his junior and senior seasons, gaining 20 lbs. Because of this, he didn’t get significant playing time until his senior year, where he posted modest numbers of 23 receptions, 393 yards, and eight TDs. North Dakota State offered Watson a scholarship, and Watson stayed in the FCS program for all four years. His most impressive campaign was his senior season, posting 43 receptions, 801 yards, and 7 TDs. As a senior, he also tacked on 15 rush attempts for 114 yards and one TD. Watson was consistently used in the running game for the Bisons since his sophomore season.
Hello, fellow Dynasty leaguers! In this series I will be going through the top-48 WRs in Dynasty, providing stats and insight on them. The WR market can be hard to pick apart because there are so many players in so many situations and so many factors in play. Here I will try to help make it easier by giving my thoughts on some players I find interesting and maybe it can help you navigate the market and find some values. When considering WR Dynasty value there are three main things I look at: a path to accruing value, immediate projectable production, and value insulation. These three things can be applied to every player and I use them often to compare who I value more. To do this I will be using BulletProof ADP and separating the players into tiers. Let’s dive right in with the first tier.
Brenton Strange was a four-star recruit coming out of high school who redshirted for Penn State in 2019, after playing in two games and making one catch (a four-yard touchdown pass from Will Levis, who later transferred to Kentucky). Strange earned five starts in nine games played during the 2020 Covid-season, catching 17 passes for 164 yards and two TDs. He started all 13 games for the Nittany Lions in 2021, grabbing 20 receptions for 225 yards and three TDs. Strange earned third-team All-Big Ten Conference honors as a junior, recording 32 receptions for 362 yards and scoring five times in 13 starts.

For one reason or another, the players we will look at today have fallen under the consensus radar. With the recent departure of DeAndre Hopkins, the Arizona Cardinals are looking toward a rebuild. What they do over the next 12 months will be pivotal for the team’s future in competing for the divisional crown in the NFC West and returning to the playoffs. With the 49ers and Seahawks set up very well for both the immediate and long-term future, it is imperative that the Cardinals get this transition correct. In this article, I assess this transition period’s impact on the viable fantasy options within the Cardinals’ offense.
We’ve seen a lot of movement in Dynasty Player Rankings as the dust settles post-NFL Draft. Landing spots and draft capital can completely change the path to success for rookies and veterans alike. As Dynasty owners, we love to project the future production of fantasy players, and the NFL Draft is a big day where we tweak our rankings and decide whether we’re “out” or “all in” on certain guys. In light of this, I want to cover a few names that may be fool’s gold based on their perceived situation. In this article, we will focus on some players that seemingly “won” the NFL Draft but that I am still avoiding at their respective prices.

Felix Anudike-Uzomah was drafted by the Kansas City Chiefs, becoming the seventh Edge Rusher and the 31st overall player selected in the 2023 NFL Draft.
Luke Musgrave was drafted by the Green Bay Packers, becoming the fourth Tight End and 42nd overall player in the 2023 NFL Draft.
Lukas Van Ness was drafted by the Green Bay Packers, becoming the third Edge Rusher and 13th overall player selected in the 2023 NFL Draft.
Luke Schoonmaker was drafted by the Dallas Cowboys, becoming the fifth Tight End and 58th overall player in the 2023 NFL Draft.
