Today, Iโm going to review four of my favorite Devy sleepers. These guys can all be had very late in Devy drafts and are potential steals for the savvy Devy manager. These players are for those in deeper Devy leagues, and I recently acquired each of these guys after Round 7 of a startup Devy draft.
Malachi Nelson (QB-BSU)
Life comes at you fast. A year ago, Malachi Nelson went back and forth with Arch Manning to be considered the top incoming frosh QB in the country. Now, after the emergence of Miller Moss (discussed below) at USC, Nelson decided to transfer to Boise State University, and everyone seems to have forgotten about him. The talent level is still there. We have yet to see what Nelson can do on an NCAA field, as he sat behind Caleb Williams and Miller Moss last year at USC. Now that heโs at BSU, Nelson is going to get playing time right out of the gate, and with his talent level, he should set the Mountain West Conference on fire.

Jurrion Dickey (WR-OR)
Jurrion Dickey, the former five-star WR, didnโt see the field as a freshman, and in a world where we all enjoy instant gratification, he has been mostly forgotten. Dickey stands at a prototypical height/weight for an elite WR at 6โ2โ and 215 lbs. He is on an offense at Oregon led by incoming quarterback transfer Dillon Gabriel, who should throw the ball all over the field. The Ducks brought in Evan Stewart via the transfer portal, but Dickey should have no issues seeing the field as a sophomore in 2024 as Oregonโs WR2.
Gavin Sawchuk (RB-OK)
Gavin Sawchuk is a stud sophomore RB from Oklahoma, and it honestly baffles me that more people arenโt talking about him. Sawchuk led the Oklahoma backfield last year, starting the last seven games and carrying the ball 120 times for 744 yards and 9 TDs while averaging a very robust 6.2 YPC. Sawchuk has a good height/weight ratio for a bell cow back at 5โ11โ and 198 lbs. Sawchuk should continue to lead this Oklahoma backfield in 2024. Invest with confidence and enjoy the dividends of this future stud.

Miller Moss (QB-USC)
Miller Moss is the heir apparent to Caleb Williams at USC and is good enough to make Malachi Nelson transfer out. Moss was allowed to start USCโs bowl game in 2023 when Caleb Williams sat out, and he put the world, including myself, on notice. Miller Moss threw for 372 yards and a Holiday Bowl record 6 TDs to beat Louisville. Any QB breaking a bowl record for touchdowns thrown in their first career start is someone worth keeping an eye on. Moss is the unquestioned USC starter heading into 2024, and if he can continue his success from the Holiday Bowl, the sky is the limit for him.
