Devy Players of the Week: Week 4

Welcome back for Week 4 of our Devy Players of the Week series. In this series, I cover the top college performers from each offensive fantasy position (QB, RB, WR, TE) every week. Because this is Devy, I will focus on spotlighting players I believe could play a role on our Dynasty rosters down the line. Let’s jump in and see who made some noise this past weekend in CFB!

Quarterback

Eli Holstein – Pittsburgh

16-24, 247 yards, 3 TDs, 0 INTs

9 carries, 93 yards, 2 TDs

Eli Holstein began his college career in Tuscaloosa last year, signing with the Crimson Tide as a 4-star recruit. After redshirting and realizing he may not get his chance at Alabama, Holstein transferred to Pittsburgh, and he’s been off to a hot start for the Panthers this season. Pittsburgh went up against FCS opponent Youngstown State this weekend and dominated from the start, winning 73-17. Holstein finished the night with five total touchdowns (three passing, two rushing) and 340 yards of offense. He could have had much more, but HC Narduzzi was able to rest his starters for the latter part of the game.

We need to discount this performance a bit due to the lack of competition, but Holstein has been posting quality numbers all season. Through four games, Holstein has thrown for nearly 1,200 yards, 12 touchdowns, and only two interceptions on 67.4% completion. He’s also surprised many with his production on the ground, rushing for 189 yards and two scores thus far. As a redshirt freshman in the Power 4, I’d say this warrants our attention. Holstein could be a name we’ll hear on Sundays in a few years.

Jaxson Dart – Ole Miss

22-31, 382 yards, 4 TDs, 1 INT

5 carries, 36 yards

Another week, another dominant showing from senior QB Jaxson Dart. Ole Miss throttled the Eagles of Georgia Southern this weekend, and Dart showed why he’s second in the Heisman race, behind only Cam Ward. Jaxson threw for another four touchdowns this game, putting him at 15 total TDs on the year. He finished with the top PFF pass grade in the country in Week 4 and has the top PFF pass grade on the season. At this point, Dart should be a consensus top 5 QB in the 2025 NFL Draft and has very good odds to go in Round 1. He should be valued as a future NFL starter in your Devy leagues.

Running Back

johnson

Kaleb Johnson – Iowa

21 carries, 206 yards, 3 TDs

2 receptions, -1 yards

Kaleb Johnson and the Hawkeyes got a big conference win at Minnesota this weekend, cruising to a 31-14 victory. Johnson was not an RB on my Devy radar heading into this season, but he officially has my attention. Johnson ran for over 200 yards and found paydirt three times against the Gophers, putting his touchdown total up to nine this year. He’s hit the century mark in all four games and has scored multiple times in each, showing the country he’s a true bellcow back. At 6’0” and 225 pounds, size will not be a concern at the NFL level. I still think he may be best suited to stay for his senior season due to the level of competition in the 2025 RB class. And I’d like to see Johnson develop as a pass catcher before projecting him as a real Dynasty asset. But he’s certainly impressed me so far this season, and I’m looking forward to watching him play moving forward.

Quinshon Judkins – Ohio State

14 carries, 173 yards, 2 TDs

2 receptions, 14 yards

I have one word to describe Ohio State RB Quinshon Judkins: HIM. This kid is so good, and we’ve known this for years now, but the excitement is really starting to build up as we get closer to him hitting our Dynasty lineups. Through three games, Judkins is averaging nearly 10 YPA for the Buckeyes. He had his way with this Marshall defense on Saturday, rushing for nearly 200 yards and scoring twice. Who knows what kind of stat line Judkins could’ve put up with 25+ touches. Judkins and Henderson’s counting stats won’t finish atop the country this year, as there are only so many touches to go around in this backfield. Don’t let that deter you from these two prospects, though, especially Judkins. The efficiency is there, and he has a real chance to go Round 1 in next year’s draft. Quinshon and Ashton Jeanty are my top two Devy RBs in this draft class; I’m not sure who I’d prefer as of today, but I expect both to earn excellent draft capital and be early-to-mid first-round rookie picks in Dynasty Superflex drafts next year.

Wide Receiver

harris

Tre Harris – Ole Miss

14 targets, 11 receptions, 225 yards, 2 TDs

Many in the Devy community seemed to be overlooking Tre Harris. I see him as one of the first five wide receivers to be drafted in next year’s draft. Maybe one of the biggest surprises this year is how much better Harris has performed than Atwane Wells. I viewed these two prospects pretty similarly entering the season, but Harris has proved he’s clearly the top dog. He hauled in two of Jaxson Dart’s four touchdown passes this Saturday and was on the receiving end of over 50% of his passing yards. Through four games, Harris has posted an absurd 42.6% targets per route run. He’s averaging over 150 yards per game this year as well. The only downside is that he’s a fifth-year senior, but I’m not concerned with that, as I know the NFL won’t be. Harris could emerge as a late first-round pick in Dynasty Superflex Rookie drafts if he keeps this up.

Tai Felton – Maryland

15 targets, 14 receptions, 157 yards, 1 TD

If Tai Felton is still not on your Devy radar, you probably have not been watching college football this season. This is back-to-back weeks Felton has found his way onto my DPOW article, and rightfully so. Felton racked up 15 targets and 14 receptions against Villanova, totaling 157 receiving yards and one touchdown. He’s now up to 600 receiving yards on the season with five touchdowns and a target rate of 38.8%. Felton is as versatile as they come, can play in the slot or out wide, and is a major threat after the catch. Tai has surpassed 100 receiving yards in each of his first four contests and found the endzone in each. The consistency and production cannot be questioned, and I think the physicality is better than most realized. He’s already up to 13 missed tackles forced on the year.

Tight End

fannin

Harold Fannin Jr. – Bowling Green

14 targets, 8 receptions, 145 yards, 1 TD

Is Harold Fannin the TE1 in this 2025 draft class now? I think he very well might be at this point. He had another eye-popping performance against a Top 25 team in Texas A&M, earning 14 targets and grabbing eight balls for 145 yards and a touchdown. This is the second week I’ve had Fannin on my POTW list, and I don’t think it’ll be my last. He’s the top receiver in this Bowling Green offense and is possibly the most athletic tight end in the country. His hyper-athleticism makes up for the fact he’s slightly undersized, and I’m sure there are plenty of NFL teams out there that would love to find a way to get him involved in their gameplan.

Mason Taylor – LSU

9 targets, 8 receptions, 77 yards

Mason Taylor is quickly becoming an integral part of this LSU passing attack as he looks to increase his NFL draft stock for next Spring. Taylor earned another nine targets this Saturday, hauling eight for 77 yards. Taylor has had seven or more targets in three of four games this season, displaying his consistency as a receiving option. He’s sitting at a 21.7% target rate; not an elite mark, but impressive for a tight end. As I mentioned last week in my POTW article, I think Taylor will have a legitimate role at the next level, but I don’t see a very high ceiling at this time. He feels more like a depth piece for our Dynasty rosters.

Still, in a class that isn’t very deep at tight end, Taylor could be one of the top prospects. With good enough draft capital, he may be a player to target in the mid-rounds of our rookie drafts.
