Welcome back for Week 3 of our Devy Players of the Week series. In this series, I cover the top college performers from each offensive fantasy position (QB, RB, WR, TE) every week. Because this is Devy, I will focus on spotlighting players I believe could play a role on our Dynasty rosters down the line. Letโs jump in and see who made some noise this past weekend in CFB!ย
Quarterback
Cam Ward – Miami (FL)
19-28, 346 yards, 5 TDs, 0 INTs
The Hurricanes had a stress-free Week 3 victory, taking down Ball State by a score of 62-0. While it should be expected that Ward go out and dominate in a game like this, I felt I had to include him in this weekโs article, as heโs literally the Heisman front-runner, and Iโd left him off my list the previous two weeks. Ward has made it look easy through the early part of the season, taking down Florida in convincing fashion in Week 1 and following that up with two blowouts against lesser competition. There are still many question marks regarding this 2025 quarterback class, and Ward is beginning to emerge as one of the more intriguing prospects. Still, Iโm taking into account Miamiโs weaker ACC schedule. I donโt see Cam being seriously challenged until the Lousiville game on October 19th.ย
Jalen Milroe – Alabama
12-17, 196 yards, 3 TDs, 0 INTs
14 carries, 75 yards, 2 TDs
Speaking of Heisman candidates, Jalen Milroe is off to quite a start to his junior campaign and finds himself with the third-best Heisman odds through Week 3, according to DraftKings. Milroe and this Alabama offense bullied the Badgers’ defense all day, winning 42-10. Unfortunately for Wisconsin, their starting quarterback, Tyler Van Dyke, left early on due to an injury, and the game was over shortly after.ย
Milroeโs biggest strength from a real-life and Devy/Dynasty perspective is his rushing ability, which was on full display in Madison this weekend. He rushed for 75 yards and two touchdowns and threw for three more. Through three games this year, Milroe has posted 14 touchdowns (eight passing and six rushing) and ZERO interceptions. If Milroe gets favorable draft capital this coming Spring, heโll be an excellent Dynasty option due to his rushing upside.ย
Side note: his favorite target is 17-year-old Ryan Williams, who already looks like he could be a league-winner once he hits our Dynasty rosters in 2027.
Running Back

Dylan Sampson – Tennessee
13 carries, 101 yards, 4 TDs
1 reception, 4 yards
The Volunteers had another cakewalk of a game this weekend, hosting Kent State and cruising to a 71-0 victory. Nearly every Tennesse player shined in this game, so Sampsonโs individual performance isnโt unique. However, similar to Cam Ward, I felt I had to include Sampson this week based on his consistent dominance to start the season. Four touchdowns on the ground is impressive, regardless of competition. And he could have put up more, but the backups got to play most of the game due to the score.
On the season, Sampson is averaging 7.9 YPC, has scored nine times, and has hit the century mark of the ground in all three games. Itโs often difficult to project how Tennessee prospects will fare at the NFL level since their offensive scheme is so different, but I really like what Iโve seen so far from Sampson. Heโs lightning quick, explosive, and appears to have put on some size from last season. Sampson could be a nice sleeper pick if he declares for the 2025 Draft.ย
Raheim Sanders – South Carolina
19 carries, 143 yards, 2 TDs
1 reception, 11 yards
Raheim โRocketโ Sanders had a nice showing this weekend against LSU, losing in a thriller, 33-36. South Carolina had a chance to tie it up at the end of regulation but missed a 49-yard field goal, marking the Gamecocks’ first loss of the year.ย
Rocket posted a robust 7.5 YPC this Saturday, largely due to his 66-yard touchdown score in the fourth quarter. This came just moments after I hopped into the DFF discord chat to discuss how much of a bum Sanders has been since his breakout sophomore season in 2022. I did see some flashes of the old Raheim Sanders in this game, giving me a little hope for his future Dynasty value. But often, the burst, power, and lateral quickness just donโt seem to be there. Iโm rooting for Sanders and hope he can build off this performance to help revive his NFL draft stock, but Iโm not fully bought in yet.ย
Wide Receiver

Tai Felton – Maryland
15 targets, 9 receptions, 117 yards, 1 TD
Maybe itโs officially time we put Tai Felton on our Devy radars. Felton is a senior for the Terrapins and hadnโt posted any overly inspiring numbers before this year, with his best season coming as a junior, where he amassed 48 receptions for 723 yards and six touchdowns. Felton has come out an entirely different player in 2024, already surpassing 400 receiving yards and catching four touchdowns through three games. This weekend against Virginia, Felton racked up 15 targets and caught nine passes for 117 yards and one score. His targets per route run (TPRR) is now at 36.7% on the season. He is the unquestioned WR1 for this Terrapin offense, and I could see his name flying up draft boards with a few more promising games. The main concern here is size; Felton is listed at 6โ2โ and 181 pounds, so he has an unusually thin frame. Still, keep an eye on Felton as we get further into the season!
Tetairoa McMillan – Arizona
14 targets,ย 11 receptions, 138 yards
Tet McMillan had a nice bounceback game against Kansas State, reminding us all why heโs the WR1 of this 2025 class and in a tier of his own. McMillan is the first read on every dropback for the Wildcats, and for good reason. Heโs just simply bigger, stronger, and more athletic than every college DB he goes up against. McMillan could legitimately be a better prospect than Marvin Harrison Jr. and Malik Nabers were coming out of college. I think heโll be a top 8 Dynasty WR before stepping foot on an NFL field, and is a lock to go Top 10 in the 2025 NFL draft. I canโt wait to see this kid continue to ball out for the rest of this season.ย
Tight End

Eli Stowers – Vanderbilt
14 targets, 9 receptions, 110 yards, 1 TD
Eli Stowers has had as peculiar a college football career as you could find. He was once a 4-star recruit at quarterback, signing with the Texas A&M Aggies out of high school. After riding the bench for two seasons, Stowers transferred to New Mexico State in 2023 and transitioned to tight end, where he found some success. He finished the year with 35 receptions for 366 yards and a pair of receiving touchdowns. He also threw for 99 yards and a touchdown.ย
Stowers transferred again to Vanderbilt this season, where he got off to a slow start but found his stride this weekend against Georgia State. He finished with a whopping 14 targets and surpassed 100 receiving yards on the night, catching one touchdown pass. Will Stowers ever hit our Dynasty rosters as a tight end? Probably not, but someone who is able to switch positions and find success this quickly at the college level is certainly worth monitoring. Heโs significantly undersized at just 225 pounds, but who knows, maybe he could move to WR in the NFL. This guy is an athlete; I wouldnโt put it past him.ย
Mason Taylor – LSU
7 targets, 6 receptions, 58 yards, 1 TD
Son of Pro Football Hall of Famer Jason Taylor, Mason has some massive shoes to fill. Heโs now into his junior season for the LSU Tigers and has gotten off to a respectable start, posting four or more receptions in his first three games. This weekend against South Carolina, Taylor was targeted seven times, hauling in six of those for 58 yards and one touchdown. Heโs a natural pass catcher but seems to struggle with creating separation, and I donโt see him ever becoming a deep threat. While heโs been a steady producer in college, I donโt see Taylor as someone who could ever make a real difference on our Dynasty rosters. I think his ceiling is someone like Cade Otton – a potential NFL starter, but not someone weโll be excited to start on a weekly basis.ย
