COLLEGE PRODUCTION

Source: Sports Reference
Sinnott’s analytical profile compares favorably to Sam Laporta’s coming out of college
They both had their breakout (20% team share of receiving yards and touchdowns) in their third year in college. Yards per route run is one of the most predictive metrics for future Dynasty success. Sinnott posted a 2.02, just behind Sam Laporta’s 2.16. PFF, which charts every targeted pass attempt, awarded Sinnott a grade of 81, while Laporta received an 85.3 last year. Finally, their receiving yards per team pass attempt were quite similar, with Sinnott coming in at 1.71 vs. Laporta’s 1.85.
Sinnott had 676 yards receiving for Kansas St. while contributing 6 touchdowns.
FILM
Sinnott started his college career as a fullback. He converted to tight end in 2022 and quickly made his impact. He uses his elite athleticism to stretch the field and threaten defenses. After transitioning to tight end, Sinnott displayed evolving route-running and ball-tracking skills. Sinnott is a capable blocker which will help him maintain playing time.

His 40 time of 4.68 graded out as elite for a player his height and weight. Sinnott also showed great explosiveness with a 40-inch vertical jump and a 10’6” broad jump. His agility was also in the elite tier with a 4.23 shuttle and 6.82 3 cone.

DRAFT ANALYSIS
Rapid Reaction to Draft Capital: Excellent
Rapid Reaction to Landing Spot: Above Average
Ben Sinnott was selected with the 53rd-overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft by the Washington Commanders.
FANTASY INSIGHTS
I have Ben Sinnott ranked as the number two tight-end in this class for projected future dynasty value. His analytical profile is solid but certainly not close to the elite generational profile of Brock Bowers. The Commanders selected Jayden Daniels with the second overall pick to take over the reins at quarterback Wide receivers tend to struggle for production with rookie quarterbacks. However, tight ends can often be utilized as a nice security blanket for rookies to rely on.
Zach Ertz will be an excellent mentor for Sinnott. He is a receiving-first tight end who has been a highly effective receiving option for a decade. At 33, Ertz is not the player he once was, coming off a recent ACL injury. However, we should still expect him to begin the season as a starter. I would expect Sinnott to get off to a slow start, as tight ends often do in the NFL. His long-term prospects remain strong.
Sinnott is a prime Dynasty rookie draft target for me in the late second to early third round.
