People were slow to warm up to Sinnott. He was a projected fifth-rounder in NFL mock drafts a few months ago. In February I posted this on Twitter.

This was from February. As people dove deeper into his tape and profile his stock rose. From a Fantasy standpoint, he is pretty clearly the TE2 in this class. In Sinnott’s second year, he made his presence known with a solid 447-yard campaign. He followed this up with 676 yards and 6 touchdowns in 12 games.

His age-adjusted production was solidly second in this tight-end class to the otherworldly results posted by Brock Bowers. He combined this with stout efficiency performance in yards per route run, which is one of the most predictive metrics for future Fantasy success. He was also second in the class in weighted dominator rating which measures the prospect’s team share of yardage and touchdowns (weighted 80% yards and 20% touchdowns).

FILM

  • Sinnott is a strong runner after the catch.
  • Adequate blocking ability
  • Excellent athleticism
  • Projects as a move “F” tight end
  • Speed and rudeness to beat NFL linebackers

At the combine, Ben Sinnott measured 6’4” and 250 lbs. This is a solid size for an NFL tight end.

His 40 time of 4.68 graded out as elite for a player his size. His agility also graded out as elite with a shuttle time of 4.23 and three-cone of 8.82. To round out an elite athletic profile he posted a tremendous 40-inch vertical and broad jump of 10’6”.

DRAFT ANALYSIS

Rapid Reaction to Draft Capital: Excellent

Rapid Reaction to Landing Spot: Above Average

Ben Sinnott was selected with the 53rd-overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft by the Washington Commanders.

FANTASY INSIGHTS

I have Ben Sinnott ranked as the number two tight end in this class for projected future dynasty value. His analytical profile is solid and is comparable to last year’s breakout star Sam Laporta.  He will be a nice security blanket for rookie Jayden Daniels.

Expect Ben Sinnott to be selected in the early 3rd round of Dynasty rookie drafts. He is a solid upside target for teams in need of a tight end.
