IDP Stock Market: Week 11 Edition

LB, Markus Golden, New York GiantsHere is a great value buy stock. Markus is available in most leagues, which means your investment will be minimal. He has played 81.1% of the snaps so far this season and has provided decent production. He has forty-three tackles, eight for a loss and seven sacks on the season. Golden has had at least a half a sack in seven of the first ten games.

Hopefully, my suggestions have steered you in the right direction and improved your IDP portfolios. It’s time to look at your stocks and see which net assets are worth keeping or buying and which ones need to be liquidated. I wish everyone the best of luck and help you with your quest for the championship!

Position U

There always seems to be certain schools that consistently produce NFL talent at certain positions. You hear it all the time, “team A is running back U or team B is linebacker U”, etc. Why do certain teams always seem to be able to produce elite talent a specific position year in and year out? Do they recruit that position more heavily? Does the coaching staff just do a better job coaching this position up? Or is it just luck? I think it maybe a little of everything and it goes in cycles. Let’s take a look at some of the current position U’s in the college game right now.

IDP Rookie Recap Week 8

Each week I will recap the top performances by this year’s rookie defenders. Some are well-known names and others come out of nowhere. Rookies are highly coveted in the dynasty community, but their value can be very volatile at times. In this series each week, we’ll look at their numbers and what impact they have. I am also including their snap counts and percentage of snaps. These snap counts can tell us a lot about how much a player is being used and the opportunities they have to make plays.

IDP Stock Market: Week 9 Edition

S, Taylor Rapp, Los Angeles Rams
Three weeks ago starter John Johnson went down with a season-ending injury. The question was who would fill that void? I had a good feeling that Rapp would be that guy, as he had played well in a limited role, so I wanted to see how he would be used in a larger role. In the two weeks since Johnson’s injury, Rapp has registered eighteen tackles, with fourteen being solos.

IDP Stock Market: Week 6 Edition

CB, Logan Ryan, Tennessee TitansOne of the best defensive backs in the league is off to a hot start this season. Ryan’s stock is on the rise, especially in position-specific leagues that require you to start corners. His ability and the Titan’s willingness to use him as a blitzer makes him so much more valuable. Logan already has 2.5 sacks on the season and is on pace to destroy his record of four, that he just set last season.

IDP Stock Market: Week 5 Edition

S, Devin McCourty, New England Patriots
The ten-year veteran is off to one of his best starts to begin a season in his career. He’s leading the NFL interceptions (4) through the first four games of the season and has one in each game. This is the most he’s had in a season, since 2012, his third year in the league. While this pace won’t continue, I do expect him to continue to be an impact player in pass defense.

IDP Stock Market: Week 4

OLB, Shaq Barrett, Tampa Bay BuccaneersThe five-year pro, from Colorado State, is one of the hottest names in IDP right now. In his previous four seasons, all with the Denver Broncos, he never had more than six sacks in a season. His career-best of five and a half came in his rookie season. After his rookie contract expired, the Broncos decided to go in a different direction. The Buccaneers stepped up and took a chance on him and signed him to a one year $4 million deal. The return for them so far has paid off big time!
