The Redraft Wire: Week 15

This weekly article is focused on identifying players who are owned in less than 40% of redraft leagues. These players are going to help your team win this week and every week to come! We are looking for guys you should be able to plug into your starting lineup without hesitation.

Be sure to check out all of our in-season content right here.

(There will be no recommended FAAB spends in this article, as those decisions always depend on your team’s needs)

Lynn Bowden (WR/RB – MIA)
Ownership: 38.65%

Maybe I’m a week late on Bowden but two straight weeks of seven or more targets have my attention now and it should have yours as well. I truly thought it could be a fluke last week, but Bowden is being utilized in the passing game consistently for three games now. It could help that the Dolphins receivers are banged up but he’s been electric with the ball in his hands.

Donovan Peoples-Jones (WR – CLE)
Ownership: 23.76%

Week 15 marks the third straight week of eight or more fantasy points for Peoples-Jones. He’s not receiving a massive target share with just five or fewer targets in each game but he’s making the most of his opportunities. His final game is a juicy matchup against the New York Jets, who are coming off their first win and certainly aren’t looking to distance themselves from Trevor Lawrence any further.

Dan Arnold (TE – ARI)
Ownership: 24.06%

Arnold has finished with at least 50 receiving yards or a touchdown in each of the last three games. The athletic tight end has become Kyler Murray’s security blanket (second to DeAndre Hopkins) in tough situations and also one of his favorite red zone targets. He’s scored three touchdowns in the last three games. Arnold is a fantasy option with upside that could also drop a goose egg any given day.

Dawson Knox (TE – BUF)
Ownership: 29.87%

As long as John Brown is out, other receiving options on the Bills become interesting. Knox has caught three touchdowns in three of the last four weeks and has at least seven targets or a touchdown in each of the last four games. He’s come on hot late in the season and could be the perfect waiver addition if you’re in a tight spot with your tight end.

Kendrick Bourne (WR – SF)
Ownership: 31.20%

The 49ers are one of the injured teams in the NFL on both sides of the ball but their pass catchers have possibly been hit the hardest. They’ve been without George Kittle and Deebo Samuel the majority of the season and have missed rookie stand-out Brandon Aiyuk at times as well. Kendrick Bourne has stepped up in a time of need and in a big way for fantasy in Week 15. Bourne caught all four targets for 86 yards and a touchdown and that comes after two games of six or more targets. He’s doesn’t have much upside, but the volume is there if you’re struggling to find production.

Ito Smith (RB – ATL)
Ownership: 29.08%

Raheem Morris has reported Todd Gurley will no longer be the starting running back for the Atlanta Falcons and Ito Smith will take over as the lead back. This is some pretty wild news heading into fantasy championship weekend. Finding a starting running back this late in the year on waivers is virtually unheard of. But, this is 2020, when Ito Smith can assume a lead role in Week 16.
