Luke Musgrave was drafted by the Green Bay Packers, becoming the fourth Tight End and 42nd overall player in the 2023 NFL Draft.
COLLEGE PRODUCTION
Musgraves’ college numbers are less than underwhelming. He caught just 47 passes for 633 yards and two touchdowns. Key factors such as the shortened 2020 season and a lingering knee injury hampered his statistical output.
FILM
Musgrave is a freak of nature at the tight end position. He is a good route runner that can be placed almost anywhere within an offensive formation. He has great hands and can be elusive once he catches it. His 6’6” frame makes him very difficult to cover downfield. He will be able to win 50/50 balls on most defenders, and can immediately step in as a passing weapon for Green Bay.
ATHLETIC TESTING
Musgrave ran a 4.61 40-yard dash at the NFL Combine. He also recorded a 36” vertical and a 10’ 5” broad jump. He held a RAS score of 9.78/10, good for fourth best in the class.
