Sam Howell

Week 11 Starts/Sits

Welcome back for your Week 11 edition of Dynasty Start/Sits. Another week, another QB is out for the year. Finding reliable QB production feels as hard as it’s ever been. However, no matter the position, I’ve got you covered! Let’s get into our Week 11 Starts/Sits.

Starts – Quarterbacks

Sam Howell – Washington Commanders

Vs. New York Giants

Sam Howell has a great matchup against the New York Giants this week. He’s currently on fire, rattling off three straight top-10 finishes. And this week, I have a penciled-in for another top-10 finish. Howell has thrown less than 40 past attempts once in his last seven games. He’ll be a valuable Fantasy producer off volume alone.

Jordan Love – Green Bay Packers

Vs. Los Angeles Chargers

Love is one of the best streaming options available this week against the third-best fantasy matchup for quarterbacks. Love has finished as the top-12 quarterback in five of his nine matchups this season. Any game against the Chargers has high-scoring potential. This week is a solid opportunity to make it six of 10.

Russell Wilson – Denver Broncos

Vs. Minnesota Vikings

Russell Wilson has been leaps and bounds better than he was last season. He currently ranks second in true passer rating, third in passing touchdowns, and seventh in fantasy points per dropback. The Vikings are close to the middle of the pack in fantasy points allowed to QBs but allow the sixth-fewest fantasy points to RBs. The Broncos will likely succeed more in the air than on the ground.

Sits – Quarterbacks

Trevor Lawrence — Jacksonville Jaguars

@ Tennessee Titans

Lawrence has been one of the bigger disappointments this season. He only has two finishes of QB10 or better this year, but it’s not entirely his fault. He currently ranks 28th in red zone passing attempts, and although he’s seventh in carries among quarterbacks, it resulted in zero rushing touchdowns this season. Because of this, Trevor Lawrence’s upside has been minimal this year. With Tennessee being a minus matchup for quarterbacks this season. You’re better off leaving Lawrence on the bench this week.

Will Levis – Tennessee Titans

Vs. Jacksonville Jaguars

That four-touchdown performance feels like an eternity ago. Levis finished as the QB26 last week. Mustering under 200 yards on 39 attempts against a defense that is giving up the second most passing yards per game over the previous three games. Levis is a permanent sit until he shows that spark we saw in his first game.

Baker Mayfield – Tampa Bay Buccaneers

@ San Francisco 49ers

I’ve liked Baker this year. He’s quietly had three straight top-10 performances. However, it’s Baker Mayfield on the road against one of the best defenses in the league that probably should look elsewhere for meaningful fantasy production.

Starts – Running Backs

Darrell Henderson – Los Angeles Rams

Vs. Seattle Seahawks

Look for Darrell Henderson to get things going early and often this week. Seattle is allowing the sixth most fantasy points to RBs this season. Matthew Stafford is coming back from a thumb injury, and the Rams could lean heavily on Henderson in both the running and passing game. I’ve got him locked in at the top 20 RB play this week.

Ty Chandler — Minnesota Vikings

@ Denver Broncos

No guts, no glory, I always say. If you’re hurting for RB production, Ty Chandler is a sneaky play this week. The Broncos have allowed over 130 rushing yards per game over their last three games. With Cam Akers out for the year and Mattison likely out this week, Chandler should stand alone in the Minnesota backfield.

Buyer Beware: If you’re adding Chandler off of waivers this week, there is a good chance the Vikings sign another RB. Monitor that situation and be prepared to pivot.

James Cook — Buffalo Bills

@ New York Jets

I’m conflicted about this choice because Cook has seen his snap share decrease in the last three games.  However, the Jets are allowing The fifth most rushing yards per game over their previous three games, even in a reduced role. Cook was able to top 100 yards last week. If his role continues to decline, it may not play out well for Fantasy managers. Due to the state of the running back landscape and Cook’s passing upside, he’s an intriguing option this week.

Rachaad White

Sits – Running Backs

Rachaad White — Tampa Bay Buccaneers

@ San Fransisco 49ers

White has rattled off three straight top-12 RB finishes. However, he is a major avoid this week going up against the 49ers. They are the fifth-worst fantasy matchup for RBs this year. The most likely scenario is A negative game script forcing White to be a non-factor. If you have a better option, I’d roll with it.

D’Onta Foreman – Chicago Bears

@ Detroit Lions

Last week, the Bears listed Herbert as a full participant on their injury reports, yet he did not play in Thursday’s game. He should be returning to the Chicago backfield this week. Foreman should see limited touches this week against a Detroit defense that has been a minus matchup for running backs all year. He’s not a terrible option in a pinch, but I feel there are better matchups for fantasy managers.

Isiah Pacheco – Kansas City Chiefs

Vs. Philadelphia Eagles

Pacheco is finished outside the top-24 running backs and his last two appearances. Although the Chiefs are coming off of a bye, Philadelphia has been a nightmare for running backs this year. Pacheco will have to be heavily involved in the passing game and score a touchdown to sniff a respectable fantasy performance this week.

Kansas City Chiefs v Arizona Cardinals

Starts – Wide Receivers

Rashee Rice – Kansas City Chiefs

Vs. Philadelphia Eagles

The Philadelphia Eagles allow the most fantasy points to slot wide receivers this year. Rice plays about 50% of his snaps in the slot. The Eagles defense has been susceptible to quarterbacks and wide receivers, and Rice is 13th among wide receivers and red zone targets. With the Eagles being so stout against the run, this could be a pass-heavy game for the Chiefs. Rice could have a big game this week.

Courtland Sutton – Denver Broncos

@ Buffalo Bills

I called it last week, and I’m calling it again this week. It’s Sutton season. Minnesota is an even better matchup for him than Buffalo was the previous week. They average 21.8 fantasy points per game to WRs. This week is an excellent opportunity for Sutton to Eclipse 100 yards for the first time this season. If not, he at least has a significant touchdown upside this week. Keep riding the Sutton train.

DeAndre Hopkins — Tennessee Titans

Vs. Jacksonville Jaguars

Jacksonville allows over 30 fantasy points per game, two WRs lined out wide, And Hopkins plays about 80% of his snaps. Rookie QB Will Levi is a gunslinger who doesn’t shy away from the deep ball. I’m not expecting a monster performance, but He should be serviceable to Fantasy managers needing a flex.

dotson

Sits – Wide Receivers

Jahan Dotson – Washington Commanders

Vs. New York Giants

The Jahan Dotson comeback season was fun while it lasted. Although the commanders are one of the highest volume passing offenses, New York is a juicy matchup for pass catchers. As long as Curtis Samuel plays, Dotson should not be starting the fantasy lineups.

Gabe Davis — Buffalo Bills

Vs. New York Jets

The Jets are the worst fantasy matchup for WRs, who play primarily out wide, where Davis currently runs about 82% of his routes. He has already been disappointing over his previous two outings, and things don’t look to be any better for him this week. Davis ranks outside of my top 35 WRs this week.

Brandin Cooks — Dallas Cowboys

Vs. Carolina Panthers

Cooks caught lightning in a bottle last week and posted his best performance of the year. Don’t get distracted by that. Cooks has finished outside the top 50 WRs in five of eight games this season. The game script will likely not favor the Dallas WRs, and Carolina has been a minus matchup for WRs all year.

Starts – Tight Ends

Cole Kmet – Chicago Bears

@ Detroit Lions

The Bears will have to put up some points to keep up with the Detroit Lions this week. Cole Kmet has firmly established himself as a number two target in the Chicago offense. He’s currently second on the team in targets (57). Kmet  has earned at least seven targets in his last three games. There’s potential for a boom week for Kmet.

Trey McBride – Arizona Cardinals

@ Houston Texans

The Trey McBride experience strikes again! He finished the TE3 last week, going for over 100 yards. For a third straight week, he lands on my start list. McBride draws another plus matchup in week 11 against the Houston Texans, who allow the fifth most fantasy points per game to TEs. Fire him up!

Tyler Conklin – New York Jets

@ Buffalo Bills

Tyler Conklin is available in about 40% of dynasty leagues. He currently ranks third on the Jets offense in targets this season. In his last two games, he has 13 targets and 13 catches for 136 yards. Given his recent usage, he’s a solid play in deeper Dynasty leagues.

Sits – Tight Ends

David Njoku — Cleveland Browns

Vs. Pittsburgh Steelers

Njoku has finished at the top-12 tighten in his last four matchups. He’s likely to be touchdown-dependent this week against a Pittsburgh defense, giving up the sixth-fewest fantasy points to TEs.

Evan Engram— Jacksonville Jaguars

@ Tennessee Titans

Overall, it’s looking like a long day for the Jacksonville offense. Tennessee is allowing a few fantasy points to TEs this year. However, he’s been heavily involved in the offense, commanding at least seven targets every game since week one. Engram has been unable to finish as the top 12 TEs since week four. I wouldn’t drop him, but better streaming options are likely available.
