COLLEGE PRODUCTION
Source: Sports Reference
Franklin has a pristine analytical profile. According to my WR1 analytical model, he has the fourth-best profile in this class. Franklin wasted no time proving himself on the biggest stage. His 891-yard sophomore campaign easily qualified him for the second-year breakout threshold we like to see out of our elite prospects. He registered a stellar 3.32 yards per route run which is a highly predictive metric for future Fantasy success. This was good for fourth best in the class.
His final year saw him produce an outstanding 1383-yard 14 touchdown season. PFF awarded him an 87.3 receiving grade which also was good for 4th in this class.
FILM
Franklin has a tall lean frame. There are definitely concerns related to his play strength and ability to win vs. press and in contested catch situations. He has proven to have the explosiveness to win in college. If he can beat press and create separation the contested catches won’t be a big issue.
He has a high IQ in creating space for himself. Franklin can run all the routes and is a coveted outside receiver.
ATHLETIC TESTING
Source: Relative Athletic Score
At the combine, Troy Franklin measured 6’2” and 176 lbs.
His 40 time of 4.41 graded out as elite for a player his height. Franklin also showed great explosiveness with a 38-inch vertical jump and 10’4” broad jump. His agility did not prove to be as elite as his straight-line speed but still graded out as good in the shuttle and 3-cone drill.

FANTASY INSIGHTS
I have Troy Franklin ranked as the number seven receiver in this class for projected future dynasty value. His analytical profile is pristine.
Expect Troy Franklin to be selected in the mid-second round of Dynasty rookie drafts.
