Football is back, baby! With training camp officially underway for all 32 NFL teams, our timelines are once again flooded with on-the-field news and highlight plays. It can be tough to keep tabs on everything and decipher what matters vs. what doesn’t in dynasty, which is why I’ve put together this breakdown for you.
Below, you’ll see the top headlines from training camp as of August 1st, dynasty impact, and my personal take on the news.
Stock-Up Players
Malik Nabers (WR – NYG) – Last time we saw Nabers, he was limping to first place in a celebrity softball game. We were receiving nothing but ominous news regarding his ACL recovery early this summer, but things have turned around since then. He’s avoided the training camp PUP list and looks to be at full health running routes in camp. If Nabers plays Week 1 and gets off to a hot start, he could easily be back in the conversation for dynasty WR1 overall by midseason.
Deebo Samuel (WR – SF) – Deebo is back with his former team, following the injury news on Ricky Pearsall. With Pearsall potentially out for the year and Christian Kirk dealing with calf issues, San Francisco needed to shore up this wide receiver room somehow. Add in Jordan James suffering fractured ribs, and Deebo could be back in the classic “Deebo” role in 2026. The question is whether or not he’s completely washed. Either way, 2026 will likely be his last usable season for fantasy. I’ve moved him up, but only marginally. He may be a good sell-high candidate now.
