This week and every week going forward we’ll bring you several recommendations for players you should add to your dynasty rosters. We’ll mainly be targeting lower-owned guys who should be available in all but the deepest leagues.
Be sure to check out all of our in-season content right here.
(There will be no recommended FAAB spends in this article, as those decisions always depend on your team’s needs)
Darren Fells (TE – HOU)
Fells has received at least two targets in each game through five weeks, which may not seem like much, but he’s also averaging 15 yards per reception this year. He has two touchdowns and is tied for second on the team in red zone targets. Fells isn’t a high volume option but provides upside with the touchdown opportunity in deeper leagues.
Travis Fulgham (WR – PHI)
Don’t go spending all of your FAAB on Fulgham. Chasing this kind of upside is generally a trap but he’s worth a shot with the lack of weapons in the passing game for Philly. A lot of these guys boom before they inevitably bust. But, in dynasty leagues, you need to take your chances when you have the roster space. If he has another big game you can likely sell him for a much greater return than whatever you spent to get him.
Mike Boone (RB – MIN)
Dalvin Cook went down with a groin injury late in the game against the Seahawks in Week 5, therefore Alexander Mattison received the majority of the final carries. Mike Boone will have a role going forward as long as Cook is sidelined. Soft tissue injuries never have a clear cut time table for recovery. Therefore, Boone is a must-add. While Boone is next up behind Mattison, C.J. Ham is another name to keep on your radar as well if another unfortunate injury were to occur.
Marcus Johnson (WR – IND)
The Colts have struggled with the receiver position all year. Philip Rivers and T.Y. Hilton can’t seem to get on the same page in 2020 and others have benefited from their lack of connection. Marcus Johnson is one of those players. Johnson didn’t play a game before Week 4 but he’s caught all four of his targets over the last two games and is averaging 20 yards per reception. He appears to be filling the deep threat role we typically see Hilton in. Maybe we are witnessing the passing of the torch.
Salvon Ahmed (RB – MIA)
This is more of a dynasty stash but Salvon Ahmed, the former Washinton standout, has been promoted to the Dolphins active practice squad after going undrafted. He’s apparently impressed the coaching staff in Miami and only has Myles Gaskins, Matt Breida, and Jordan Howard ahead of him on the active roster. Could be nothing but I like his chances.
