2022 DFF Draft Coverage: Christian Watson

Watson was the leading receiver on the 2019 North Dakota State team which featured Trey Lance at quarterback, with 732 yards receiving. He had 43 receptions for 801 yards his senior year. North Dakota was consistently blowing out their opponents, so you will not see eye-popping volume statistics for Watson. He is explosive, garnering 57 plays of 20+ yards over his college career. When you look at his rate stats they are far more impressive. Watson’s dominator rating was 44.0%. This is 90th percentile among prospects and ranked fifth overall.  The receiving yards per team pass attempt was also solid at 3.12.

Dynasty Market Sweep: Post-Combine Market Report

The NFL Combine has long marked the convergence of a new season for football fans. Over 300 prospects (though not all attend) are invited each offseason to showcase their athletic prowess in front of representatives from all 32 NFL teams. A single slip-up or lapse of focus can cost a young kid millions of dollars in the draft. Alternatively, a strong performance can raise a player’s stock. As real-life NFL scouts adjust their rankings, the dynasty market follows suit. The 2022 NFL Draft class has been perennially undervalued in the dynasty community. Managers are now rushing to adjust after an impressive all-around combine from virtually every position. In this edition of the Dynasty Market Sweep, we will be analyzing the post-combine market adjustments for the upcoming 2022 rookie class.

Incoming Rookie Quarterbacks

With the recent draft trades, things are spicing up a month before the NFL draft is set to open and teams are doing their best to fill fans with hope for upcoming seasons. I’ll be analyzing the incoming rookie quarterbacks in this one because teams don’t trade up to take any other position than the face of the franchise. It will be more than likely a run of quarterbacks very early in this year’s draft, and for Superflex leagues, it’ll be hard to decide between more than a few of these players.

Pro Day Round-Up

Today is March 11, 2021, this is important because we are less than a week away from Free Agency. On March 17th we will likely find out where players such as JuJu Smith-Schuster, Kenny Golladay, Aaron Jones, Will Fuller, Curtis Samuel, Corey Davis, Todd Gurley, Marvin Jones Jr., Kenyan Drake, T.Y. Hilton, A.J. Green, and Hunter Henry will land. There are 43 days until the NFL Draft, and in most years we would have the NFL Combine to overreact to, however, as you know the NFL Combine was canceled due to the pandemic. Although we do not get to see all of the relevant players get their testing measurables in the same conditions, we still will get good data from the school’s Pro-Days.

Taxi Squad Spring Cleaning Part 4: QB Edition

In this series of articles, I’m looking at rookies from the 2019 class that can be removed from your taxi squads to make room for 2020 rookies. These are players that all have little to no dynasty value, but dynasty owners selected in at least some 2019 rookie drafts. This is the quarterback edition.
