2020 NFL Draft Winners/Losers

The NFL Draft is all about improving a team and injecting youth into a roster. The 2020 NFL Draft specifically has been highly touted as one of the best classes in years and comes at a time when people need something to take their minds off of our real-world problems. Much like years past, things haven’t gone as expected and front offices have made some head-scratching selections.

AFC East Factory Divisional Nuggets: Week 8

Parker has caught 50 yards or a touchdown in each of the last four games. It’s no surprise his targets and production have increased since Ryan Fitzpatrick was named the starter. He’s received 8 targets and is the WR20 in the two games with Fitzpatrick as the starter. Parker has one of the highest average depths of target (aDot) (15.5) among receivers with over 30 targets. He has a higher aDot than Kenny Golladay and Mike Williams. He’s also tied for fifth in average targeted air yards (15.4) among pass catchers. Look for him on your waivers if available. Otherwise, stash him if you got him. It doesn’t appear he will be traded — one of the few pieces the Fins are willing to hang on to.

AFC East Factory Divisional Nuggets: Week 6

Josh Allen put on one of his best performances of the season just a week after suffering a concussion against the New England Patriots. He didn’t set the world on fire, but he was more than competent in leading his team to victory. He threw for a season-high 71.88% completion rate and the only two scores for the Bills against the number six passing defense in the league. Allen has also rushed for three touchdowns this season and is averaging 31.6 yards-per-game, down from 52.6 in 2018. That said, his rushing production thrusts him into fantasy relevancy. He was the QB12 in Week 5 and is QB16 on the season after the bye week. Allen is a fringe top 12 quarterback rest of season and has even higher upside based on matchups. He gets the Dolphins in Week 7 and that means you want Josh Allen in your lineup.

IDP Rookie Recap Week 5

Each week I recap the top performances by this year’s rookie defenders. Some are well-known names and others come out of nowhere. Rookies are highly coveted in the dynasty community, but their value can be very volatile at times. In this series each week, we’ll look at their numbers and what impact they have. I am also including their snap counts and percentage of snaps. These snap counts can tell us a lot about how much a player is being used and the opportunities they have to make plays. I like to target rookies that play 80% plus of the team’s defensive snaps. Let’s jump right into this week’s group.

Week 3 Streamers

Welcome back to my streamers column. As usual, for each position, I will give two streamers that are under 40% owned according to ESPN’s ownership percentages based on the time of writing, typically Sunday night or Monday morning. I’ll start with quarterback, followed by tight end, then D/ST. In both sections, the player listed first is my preferred stream and the second option is a backup if the first player is already rostered.

Week 2 Streamers

This will be the first in a line of weekly articles I will be writing about streaming options at the quarterback, tight end, and D/ST positions. For each position, I will give two streamers that are under 40% owned according to ESPN’s ownership percentages based on the time of writing. I’ll start with quarterback, followed by tight end, then D/ST. Quarterback and D/ST will typically be matchup dependent plays depending on the opposing defense and offense, respectively. The tight end streamers will often be breakout players from the previous week as tight end matchups are much more difficult to predict than quarterback or D/ST. In both sections, the player listed first is my preferred stream and the second option is a backup if the first player is already rostered. With that said, let’s jump right in.

Finding Fantasy Value on Bad Offenses

In the NFL, some offenses are considered to be bad. Some teams employ a subpar quarterback, lack dynamic skill position players or even have both of those issues. No matter the situation, there is still value to be found on these bad offenses. I will provide three examples of these kinds of players.Josh Allen (QB – BUF):Not many expect the Buffalo Bills to be a good real-life offense. I expect them to be one of the worst performing offenses in the league. On top of that, the Bills have four wide receivers expected to get targets: Zay Jones, Robert Foster, Cole Beasley, and John Brown. I doubt any of those receivers will be a usable fantasy option. Also, the Bills boast a crowded and underwhelming running back room consisting of LeSean McCoy, Devin Singletary, T.J. Yeldon, and Frank Gore. All of those players could receive touches, and likely none will be valuable in fantasy. However, Josh Allen could finish as a top-10 quarterback in 2019.
