We must commend the players, coaches, officials, athletic directors, and university administrators who made this season possible for all of us to watch. While this year there will only be 26 bowl games played and many regular seasons were abbreviated due to the pandemic, they still gave the college football we so desperately needed.

Now that Week 14 of the college football season has come and gone, we have a lot to examine. We saw a few teams fall from the ranks of the undefeated, one of which (#21 Marshall) was shut out. The top four teams in the nation flexed their muscles again, winning in dominant fashion. A couple of Heisman hopefuls made convincing cases to stay in the rankings, as we saw one unexpectedly stumble. The emergency scheduling of the “Mormons vs. Mullets” matchup played out as the game of the season. We now take a few minutes to look at some future fantasy players and how their draft stocks were affected!

Draft Stock Watch: Week 13

Week 13 of the college football season is now in the books and with the first week of College Football Playoff rankings, each of the consensus top four escaped the week unscathed. Sarah Fuller became the first woman in history to play in a Power Five football game, as she kicked off for Vanderbilt. We also saw the record for TDs in a game get matched and nearly broken. Let’s unpack this exciting Week 13 slate of games and check the stocks of some of our favorite college players!

Draft Stock Watch: Week 12

The Week 12 slate of games saw a pair of ranked teams fall and a handful of the top teams in the nation get taken down to the wire, only to prevail late in the game. #10 Wisconsin lost a defensive battle against conference foe #19 Northwestern and #21 Liberty saw their game-winning field goal attempt blocked in an upset loss to unranked North Carolina State. On the draft front, many prospects had stand-out games and improved their stocks. While it was difficult to select just a couple of performances to feature, we’ll now review which players increased or decreased their ranks!

Draft Stock Watch: Week 11

There were not many surprises in the Week 11 slate games this weekend, as the only ranked team to fall was #17 SMU in a close loss to Tulsa in which they led most of the game. Observing the shift in power among the BIG10 and SEC football conferences have proven interesting to watch this season. This past weekend, from an individual performance standpoint, there were a lot of future NFL stars to post strong stat lines, making this weeks’ featured risers a difficult decision. We will now detail some of this weekend’s performances that have prospects rising the ranks and/or tumbling down the proverbial NFL Draft hill.

Another weekend of college football is in the books, and we all got to witness a big game that finally lived up to the hype, watching Notre Dame actually come through in a big game for once. The double-overtime thriller, though, was not the only action, as we welcomed back Pac12 and MAC football this past week.  We continued to see offensive fireworks in the SEC as well. Consequently, we will sift through the Week Ten action and take a look at some of the draft stock movements for our future fantasy football stars.

This weekend we all got to watch Alabama and Ohio State continue to assert their dominance, as Clemson showed they could win without their all-world QB, despite not playing their best football. Additionally, the Big12 Conference has now effectively eliminated any hopes for one of their teams earning a seed in the college football playoff this season with the twists and turns of a few other top-25 upsets blended in. With Week Nine of the college football season in the books, we take a look at some of the draft stock movements for our future fantasy football stars.

Compared to the previous two weeks, Week Six of the college football season played out relatively similar to what fans expected. There were many unexpected shootouts in the SEC this week, which is unique. However, outside of #21 Texas A&M taking down #4 Florida and an unranked Mizzou team upsetting #17 LSU, the week seemed status quo. We again will discuss some of this past weekend’s player performances and draft stock movement!

Draft Stock Watch: Week 1

As this college football season shapes up to be the most unpredictable in memory, it will be as important as ever for devy owners to keep tabs on what is happening. The COVID-19 pandemic has already caused major headaches for the college football landscape, as two Power 5 conferences have already postponed their seasons (BIG10 and PAC12).  Sprinkled in are many high profile opt-outs who have chosen to forego their 2020 season and prepare for the NFL draft.

Every Angle of the Yannick Ngakoue Trade

In what has already been an unpredictable offseason, we have now witnessed a trade involving a big-time defensive star and cornerstone defensive pass-rusher in Yannick Ngakoue. Reports have surfaced that the Jaguars have traded Ngakoue to the Minnesota Vikings for a 2021 second-round pick and a conditional fifth-round pick. That conditional pick could become as high as a third-round pick, pending performances. This is the biggest offseason news to hit the IDP fantasy community since C.J. Mosley took the NFL’s COVID-19 opt-out offer and decided to forego the season.

Parris Campbell: 2020 Dynasty Profile

Parris Campbell finished 2019 with 18 receptions for 127 yards and one TD after appearing in just seven games throughout an injury-plagued rookie season. Credit must be given to the young receiver for battling and playing through a hamstring injury, a sports hernia, and a broken hand, before ultimately falling on the IR with a broken foot. The transition from college to the pro game is widely regarded as a difficult conversion for wide receivers.

Gerald Everett: 2020 Dynasty Profile

While the majority of this profile has been gloomy, Everett is actually my favorite buy-low option at TE in dynasty leagues. The Rams will be facing a number of financial decisions with wide receivers Cooper Kupp and Josh Reynolds, cornerback Jalen Ramsey, safety John Johnson, and Everett all entering the final season of their rookie contracts. The Rams could explore moving Everett in a deal before the trade deadline in an attempt to bolster their pass rush or improve their offensive line.

Jack Doyle: 2020 Dynasty Profile

After an injury-plagued 2018, fantasy owners were anticipating a huge bounce-back year from Jack Doyle in 2019. This did not come to fruition though, as Andrew Luck decided to retire a few weeks before the regular season. After some short-lived early season success, the Colts’ passing attack succumbed to injuries and Jacoby Brissett’s limitations as a passer. Doyle was included in these struggles, as he posted a career-low 59.7 percent catch rate.

C.J. Mosley Opt Out Fallout: Rapid Reaction

The league-altering effects of the COVID-19 pandemic have now significantly hurt the IDP world of fantasy football, as a consensus LB2 in C.J. Mosley just became the biggest name on the defensive side of the football to take the NFL’s opt-out alternative to the 2020 season. Mosley joins Patriots’ linebacker Dont’a Hightower and safety Patrick Chung as the only rosterable IDPs to have opted out before the season, outside of deeper leagues. This is a monumental blow to the New York Jets’ defense as well.
