Rapid Reaction: Chicago Trades for N’Keal Harry

It’s not a surprise that New England has decided to move on from their 2019 first-round selection, N’Keal Harry. Per Ian Rapoport, the Bears traded for the three-year pro in exchange for a 2024 7th-round pick. At first glance, this makes sense for everyone involved. The Patriots finally get to move on from selecting Harry over names like Deebo Samuel, A.J. Brown, D.K. Metcalf, Diontae Johnson, and Terry McLaurin. The Bears take a chance on a high-upside player on a one-year rental. And Harry gets a fresh start in a new location to prove his worth. Who loses in this situation? Let’s dig deep into what we can expect from Chicago’s pass-catchers this season as a result of this trade.

Dynasty Story: Dante Pettis

In a dynasty story, I’ll look at a single player and how his value has fluctuated over time, starting from their college profile. I’ll factor in his NFL stats and generally discuss what he did in each of his NFL seasons. Then, I’ll look at his 2020 prospects before wrapping it up with a final recommendation and dynasty strategy.

Today, it’s time for a deep dive into Dante Pettis. Is there any hope for a revival in his value, or is Pettis done? Let’s jump right in!

Deebo Samuel: 2020 Dynasty Profile

I believe that now is the perfect time to strike and acquire shares of Samuel in your dynasty league. Once he returns to the lineup and demonstrates that he’s healthy, his price will rise. This Jones fracture is a short-term injury, and it shouldn’t dramatically decrease Samuel’s value. Even so, dynasty owners tend to overreact, and I’ve noticed a drop in Samuel’s trade value and his ADP.  Buy on that dip, because this injury is a blip on the long-term radar. Samuel is only 24 years old and he has his whole career ahead of him. Most rookie wide receivers don’t show half of what Samuel showed in his rookie year, and this is a chance to get in on a stellar dynasty asset at his basement value.

A Look Back and Forward: 10 Biggest Busts Part 2

In part one of this article, I chose five players from the top 50 in ADP that I considered to be busts in 2019. In part two, I will select five players from ADP between 51-150. When choosing my busts, I will try to avoid players that missed a few games but were otherwise successful when they played, so you haven’t and won’t see Saquon Barkley or Alvin Kamara type players on the list. Injuries are hard to predict, so it’s better to look at guys who flopped even when they were on the field. Similar to the values section, the individual players are important, but general trends and strategy advice will also be included below. As in part one, Yahoo’s final half PPR ADP is the source for the below ADP numbers.
