With the 2023 NFL season wrapped up and the Super Bowl in the rearview mirror, it’s time to revisit the rookie class and conduct a redraft based on their performances. In this three-round rookie redraft series, we’ll analyze the impact, development, and surprises of the 2023 NFL Rookies in a 12-team Superflex format.

Round 1

  1. C.J. Stroud (QB, Houston Texans)
  • FPPG: 18.6
  • GP: 15

  1. Anthony Richardson (QB, Indianapolis Colts)
  • FPPG: 18.42
  • GP: 4
  • Richardson showcased his raw talent and silenced doubts about his NFL readiness. With a promising rushing game plan reminiscent of Jalen Hurts‘ 2022 season, Richardson’s future looks bright under Head Coach Shane Steichen.
  1. Puka Nacua (WR, Los Angeles Rams)
  • FPPG: 17.77
  • GP: 17
  • Nacua broke the NFL rookie receiving yards record as a fifth-round pick. His outstanding production exceeded expectations, making him a steal in fantasy drafts. Both on and off the field, Nacua emerged as a likable and record-breaking star.

  1. Jahmyr Gibbs (RB, Detroit Lions)
  • FPPG: 16.65
  • GP: 15
  • Despite a roller-coaster rookie season, Gibbs displayed his talent with over 1200 scrimmage yards, even missing two weeks due to injury. Partnered with David Montgomery, Gibbs thrived in the Lions’ offensive environment, hinting at a bright future.

bijan

  1. Bijan Robinson (RB, Atlanta Falcons)
  • FPPG: 13.76
  • GP: 16
  • The consensus 1.01 pick in rookie drafts faced challenges under Coach Arthur Smith but is poised for a bounce-back year with a new coaching regime. Robinson remains a top talent, and a fresh start in Atlanta should elevate his fantasy stock.
  1. De’Von Achane (RB, Miami Dolphins)
  • FPPG: 17.76
  • GP: 10
  • Described as ‘lightning in a bottle’, Achane’s explosive plays made him a cheat code offensive weapon. Despite battling injuries, his potential to score from anywhere on the field makes him a valuable fantasy asset when healthy.
  1. Zay Flowers (WR, Baltimore Ravens)
  • FPPG: 12.90
  • GP: 16

  1. Sam LaPorta (TE, Detroit Lions)
  • FPPG: 14.09
  • GP: 17
