Organized Team Activities (OTAs) are officially underway across the NFL, offering Dynasty managers a much-needed fix of offseason football news. With rosters beginning to take shape and early camp buzz circulating, it’s the perfect time to check in on key developments that could impact player values in our Dynasty leagues. In todayโs article, Iโll break down the top OTA headlines so far โ and what they mean for the Dynasty outlook of each prospect. Letโs dive in.ย
AR vs. Danny Dimes
The QB1 competition between former fourth overall pick Anthony Richardson and Daniel Jones is heating up. At this stage, the battle appears too close to call. Head coach Shane Steichen has praised Richardsonโs development, noting his โfundamentals and technique continue to get better.โ

Dynasty Impact: Whoever wins the job this offseason will have an incredibly short leash, so donโt throw in the towel on either guy. Iโm holding Jones and Richardson in my Dynasty leagues until we get some indication one way or another. Iโm not buying, but if someone is willing to sell AR for pennies on the dollar because they assume heโs fully cooked, Iโll hear them out.ย
Pittsburgh WR2?
Rumors are circulating that Pittsburgh is looking for another playmaker at wide receiver to pair with D.K. Metcalf. Head scratcher by the front office if true, considering they just shipped off Pickens and their best chance at moving the football is to sign 41-year-old Aaron Rodgers.ย
In the event that Pittsburgh doesnโt trade for another wide receiver, Roman Wilson may very well be the next guy in line. Wilson has apparently added some size and strength since last season and looks healthy out there in OTAs. He should have a good chance to earn WR2 honors over Calvin Austin, now that George Pickens is in Dallas. Wilson primarily operates out of the slot, so he should complement Metcalf well.

Dynasty Impact: Post-NFL Draft, Roman Wilson has climbed from WR88 to WR75 on KeepTradeCut. Heโs still a buy in this range, but donโt go crazy. Heโs yet to show us anything at the NFL level due to nagging ankle and hamstring injuries, and his prospect profile wasnโt the most exciting coming out of college. He probably has low-end WR3 upside in Dynasty if everything falls in place perfectly.ย
Browns QB Competition
The Brownsโ quarterback room is as peculiar a depth chart as youโll find in the NFL. We have Kenny Pickett, the former first-round pick who faceplanted in Pittsburgh. Thereโs the 17-year veteran, Joe Flacco, whoโs probably older than most of these guysโ dads. Next, we have Dillon Gabriel, the sub-6-foot, 24-year-old rookie. And finally, we have Shedeur Sanders, the once-considered โfirst-round lockโ who fell to Day 3 of the 2025 NFL Draft.ย ย
As it stands today, it appears Pickett is the frontrunner for the starting job. However, itโs far from over. We know Flacco has more experience than all these guys combined, Shedeur has reportedly shown out in OTAs thus far, and even Dillon Gabriel has seen some buzz and was taking reps ahead of Shedeur.ย

Dynasty Impact: This may be the biggest โsell highโ opportunity weโll have with Pickett. If you can find a Dynasty manager who believes heโs the starter, you can probably get a third-round rookie pick out of it. Maybe Pickett does end up starting Week 1, but ask yourself, โWhat do I win when I win?โ Best case scenario, youโre getting 12-14 fantasy points per game, and as soon as he underperforms, heโs done.ย
Kyle Williams: Future New England WR1?
Reports are saying Kyle Williams has impressed early on in OTAs and has a chance to be Drake Mayeโs number one target in 2025. It helps that Williams is working alongside JaโLynn Polk and Javon Baker, both of whom are lucky to be on an NFL roster. Also, Stefon Diggs‘ commitment could be in question, given heโd rather party on yachts than work on rehabbing his knee. In all seriousness, Iโm not reading much into that, but at the end of the day, Diggs is 31 years old coming off a Grade 3 ACL tear. Kyle Williams might just be straight up be Mayeโs WR1 the entire season.ย

Side note: My guy, Efton Chism, has been making some noise in OTAs for New England as well. The Eastern Washington alum has shown spatial awareness, football IQ, and legitimate YAC ability thus far. If something happens to Demario Douglas, Chism could be in line for some slot work.ย
Dynasty Impact: BUY KYLE WILLIAMS. According to KeepTradeCut, Williams is still only the WR50 in Dynasty, behind Jack Bech, Courtland Sutton, Jayden Reed, and Keon Coleman. Iโll take Kyle over all these guys straight up. Hell, Iโd even add something on top. This kid can ball.ย
CMC Comeback SZN
Christian McCaffrey is โas healthy as he can be,โ according to HC Kyle Shanahan. Though Shanahan may have downplayed CMCโs injury severity last season, The Coachspeak Index suggests Shanahanโs injury comments are historically pretty reliable.ย

Side note: Ricky Pearsall tweaked his hamstring and will be sitting out OTAs. Itโs probably nothing major, but worth monitoring nonetheless.ย
Dynasty Impact: Christian McCaffrey is a glaring buy for contending Dynasty teams. Just look at the discrepancy between KeepTradeCutโs Dynasty ranks and Underdogโs ADP, which is Best Ball Redraft. On KeepTrade Cut, McCaffrey is the Dynasty RB19, while on Underdog, heโs up at RB5 and continuing to climb up the overall ranks. If you have the risk tolerance, take a swing on CMC. When fully healthy, thereโs nobody better in PPR formats.ย
Travis Hunter – WR, CB, or Both?
Travis Hunter is reportedly practicing on both sides of the football and attending offensive and defensive meetings. The plan remains for Hunter to play wide receiver first, however.ย

For the price Jacksonville paid to move up to the 1.02, itโs assumed that Hunter will be a full-time receiver. You simply donโt pay that price for someone whoโs seen as a cornerback first. Thereโs been some rumbling about Hunterโs lack of refinement as a route runner in OTAs, but Iโm not concerned whatsoever.
Dynasty Impact: If Dynasty owners are fading Hunter due to the ambiguity of the situation or the reports of his route running, buy low. I frankly donโt give a damn. This guy is an elite athlete and has Top 12 upside in fantasy from Day 1. And donโt worry about the target share for Brian Thomas Jr. and Travis Hunter. Theyโre both going to feast in this offense, and the remaining skill players will pick up the scraps.ย ย
New Orleans QB Battle
25-year-old rookie QB Tyler Shough has turned some heads in OTAs thus far. He is receiving some first-team reps, but Spencer Rattler, who has also impressed, is getting the majority of them.ย
*Click image to view full tweet*
Dynasty Impact: Shough is a buy in my books. In all the Superflex rookie drafts Iโve been in, Shough has fallen to the late second round at minimum, and typically well into the third. Hereโs the thing: if New Orleans truly believed in Spencer Rattler, they wouldnโt have taken Shough 40th overall. Rattler, in comparison, was the 150th overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft. Shough may not be the Week 1 starter, but heโs going to start games this season, and probably fairly early on. Given the security his draft capital provides, you should be able to get out and sell him for a second virtually any time you want next season. The upside is that his value rises to a first-round rookie pick, or possibly more.ย
