NFL Player Props: Week 15

Welcome to part two of my weekly publication!

As always, part one of this publication is my weekly picks against the spread, with a deep dive into three picks that I feel will provide a nice payout to bettors. In part two, I look at three player props that I feel have a strong chance of paying out. This article will run the gamut and will include bets such as ‘passing yard totals’, ‘first player to score’, and even ‘total tackles’ for those who love defense.

In addition, I will also make one “Longshot Pick of the Week”. This pick will always feature a more difficult bet that has a greater than 2:1 payout. The odds may be tougher, but if you’re into some fun player props take a peek!

Recap of Week 14

Week 14 was, unfortunately, more of the same but we are still on track to hover right around that .500 mark. There are only three weeks left in the season and we are running out of time to finish this season out on a strong note. Regardless, let’s buckle in and gear up for the last three weeks of this crazy 2020 season!

Last Week: 1-2

Overall: 20-22

Longshot: 0-14

DeVante Parker Under 42.5 Receiving Yards (-112)

Chart courtesy of FantasyPros.

For whatever reason, Tua does not like to push the ball downfield. Unfortunately for fantasy owners everywhere, Parker has been the one that suffers the most from Tua’s hesitancy. Parker has not gone above 65 yards when Tua has been behind center. Now, Parker is coming off an injury and facing a stingy Patriots defense. Look for him to continue to falter as he looks ahead to next season.

Brandon Aiyuk  Anytime Touchdown (+140)

Make no mistake, last week’s 30-7 beatdown of the Cincinnati Bengals does not mean that Dallas suddenly has a good defense. They are still in the bottom half of total yards allowed and tied for the most passing touchdowns allowed to opponents.

We all know that San Francisco is a run-first team, but it’s not as if their receivers aren’t getting targeted. Aiyuk leads the team in redzone targets with 14 on the year. Aiyuk is a safe bet to receive these targets again and, hopefully, turn them into points.

Jared Goff Under 24.5 Completions (+102)

It may seem silly to bet against Goff on this one. After all, the Jets allow the highest completion percentage to opposing quarterbacks, and the Rams boast one of the highest competition percentages in the league.

But does anyone actually think the Jets are going to hang around in this one? Vegas certainly doesn’t, as the spread in this game is the largest of the week. While Goff has been known to sling the ball upwards of 60 times in a game, those instances only arise when the Rams are down on the scoreboard. Expect Goff to have an efficient game but to take a backseat to the rushing attack as the Rams look to put the Jets out of their misery quickly.

Week 15 Longshot Pick

Allen Lazard Anytime Touchdown (+300)

I’m done doing analysis on these. This is a decent shot. Feel free to take it.
