NFL Player Props: Thursday Night Football Preview

Thursday Night Football is here to showcase an AFC playoff matchup with unexpected playoff implications. The 6-8 Jaguars are visiting the 7-7 Jets in a game that could really boost the odds of making the playoffs for one of these teams. The betting lines favor the Jets by only 2.5 points with the Over/Under scoring total set at 37.

The Jags have been hot lately, winning three of their last four games and scoring over 36 points themselves in each of the last two. They are averaging 367.9 yards of total offense (6th) with 240.7 passing yards (10th) and 127.2 rushing yards (10th). The Jaguars look to be healthy going into this game, field their full complement of pass catchers, and rolling out their star running back Travis Etienne

The Jets have been a bit worse on offense, only averaging 336.9 yards per game (19th). This is understandable given their issues at quarterback and losing their star running back, Breece Hall, earlier in the year. The Jets will continue to start Zach Wilson at QB while Mike White deals with his rib injury. The Jets excel at defense, allowing only 305.4 yards per game (3rd) this season. They are a tough group that has been able to stifle teams through the air, only allowing 193.9 pass yards per game (4th).

This will be a tough battle between two gritty teams looking to keep their playoff hopes alive.

GAME PREDICTION

Moneyline: Jaguars

Scoring Prediction: Jaguars 20 – Jets 16

Over/Under: Under 37

Now that we have introduced the matchup let’s dive into some high-upside player props for this Thursday Night Football Showdown.

ZACH WILSON UNDER 198.5 PASS YDS

Betting Odds: -115

Zach Wilson has had major struggles as a QB so far in his career and they have not improved as of late. I like the under here because if the Jets are going to want to win this game they will need to pound the rock and keep Wilson in Game Manager mode. Keeping him to short, concise passes and work the clock, and if you want to bet you can visit satta king game in india on trusted website for this.

GARRETT WILSON OVER 55.5 REC YDS

Betting Odds: -130

This may seem counterproductive, having a QB under yards and his receiver over yards. However, Wilson is the best weapon on this team and he commands a lot of targets. I think we could see the Jets get stuck in some third and long situations and Wilson will be there to get them out of trouble.

MARVIN JONES OVER 19.5 REC YARDS

Betting Odds: -110

Marvin Jones has been a bit quiet as of late with the emergence of Zay Jones. But even so, in games where Marvin record 1+ receptions he has hit 20+ yards in nine out of eleven games (82%). With Sauce Gardner mainly guarding Christian Kirk and Zay Jones, I would expect Lawrence to rely on his veteran wide receiver.

TRAVIS ETIENNE OVER 2.5 RECEPTIONS

Betting Odds: +120

This is going to be a game in which the Jets are using pressure to try and rattle Lawrence and force errors. If this is happening Lawrence will need to hit his safety-blanket receiving back early and often. This game script combined with the plus odds on this bet makes it one of my favorites.

 “CAN’T MISS” PARLAY

Travis Etienne OVER 18.5 Receiving Yards

Marvin Jones OVER 14.5 Rec Yards

Jaguars OVER 1.5 Touchdowns

Jaguars Total Points OVER 16.5

Betting Odds: +450

*BONUS ANYTIME TOUCHDOWN PROP*

Garrett Wilson (+200)

Evan Engram (+300)
