COLLEGE PRODUCTION
Year | Games Played | Receptions | Yards | Yards/Catch | TDs |
2021 (FR) | 13 | 11 | 139 | 12.6 | 3 |
2022 (SO) | 12 | 77 | 1,263 | 16.4 | 14 |
2023 (JR) | 12 | 67 | 1,211 | 18.1 | 14 |
One of the best wide receiver prospects to enter the NFL Draft has huge upside and expectations at the pro level. The former four-star recruit played in 11 of Ohio State’s 13 games as a freshman, as he was used as a reserve behind Jaxon Smith-Njigba, Garrett Wilson, and Chris Olave. He hauled in 11 receptions for 139 yards and three touchdowns. All three touchdowns came in the team’s Rose Bowl win over Utah, setting a Rose Bowl record in touchdown receptions. In his sophomore season, he caught the eyes of the entire nation, as he led the team with 77 receptions for 1,263 yards and 14 touchdowns, earning First-team Associated Press All-American, First-team All-Big Ten, and Big Ten Conference Receiver of the Year honors. In 2023, he replicated his 2022 production, snagging 67 receptions for 1,211 yards and 14 touchdowns once again. He again earned First-team Associated Press All-American, First-team All-Big Ten, and Big Ten Conference Receiver awards. On top of that, he was named the Biletnikoff Award winner (the nation’s top receiver). Harrison Jr. finished as the first player in Ohio State history with consecutive 1,000-yard seasons.

STRENGTHS
Terrific speed and frame of a typical pro receiver. Great athlete who showcases soft hands, foot quickness, and he often thrives as a deep-ball tracker on his deeper routes in contested catch situations. Makes the acrobatic catch look easy, as he shows elite body control. Versatile, as he can line up on the outside or in the slot. Makes sharp, crips cuts with eye-popping separation skills combined with great speed and leaping abilities. Able to make late body adjustments to haul in passes thrown off target, often bailing his quarterback out. Terrific run-blocker and finishes his blocks down the field late in the play.
WEAKNESSES
There aren’t many. His ball security is average at best. Doesn’t break a ton of tackles. Could improve on his release off press coverage. Did have some occasional drops (more noticeable in 2023). Does allow defenders to get disruptive when he runs inside routes over the middle.
ATHLETIC TESTING
Harrison Jr. did not participate in the NFL Combine nor in Ohio State’s Pro Day. He did finish his collegiate career with a 47.9 percent College Dominator score (95th percentile). On top of that, his 31.8 percent college target share ranks him in the 94th percentile.
DRAFT ANALYSIS
Rapid Reaction to Draft Capital: Excellent
Rapid Reaction to Landing Spot: Excellent
Harrison Jr. was selected with the 4th overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft by the Arizona Cardinals.
The Cardinals bring in a dynamic weapon for Kyler Murray on the outside. He will easily slot in as the team’s WR1 next to Michael Wilson. Expect a ton of production from the rookie right away in 2024.
FANTASY INSIGHTS
I have Harrison Jr. as the top receiver in this draft class like many others. With a lack of talent from the other pass-catchers on this team, Harrison Jr. should see high volume and production right away!
In some league formats, Harrison Jr. can go as high as first overall. No matter what, he should not escape the top three. If you do not need a quarterback, Harrison Jr. is a no-brainer to go first overall. He has that Justin Jefferson/Ja’Marr Chase upside and should be a great fantasy asset for many years to come.
