Germie Bernard | Alabama | 6’1, 206 lbs | 22 Years Old
Germie Bernard was drafted by the Pittsburgh Steelers, becoming the 8th wide receiver and 47th overall player in the 2026 NFL Draft.
COLLEGE PRODUCTION
Germie Bernard became a big part of the Alabama passing game in 2025 and showed he could handle real volume in a loaded offense.
He finished with 64 catches for 862 yards and 7 touchdowns, while averaging 13.5 yards per catch. His 21.2% target share also stands out because it shows he was not just a role player. He was someone the offense leaned on.
That matters at Alabama because you are not getting fed unless you earn it.
He may not have the biggest raw numbers in the class, but the production is strong when you factor in the level of competition and the offense he was playing in.

FILM
Germie Bernard wins with polish.
He’s not just out there trying to outrun everybody. He knows how to get open. That starts with his route running. He changes speeds well, uses little head fakes, and does a good job snapping off routes to create separation.
He’s especially good in the intermediate part of the field. He gives his quarterback clean throwing windows and makes the job easier.
His hands stand out too. He catches the ball naturally and looks comfortable working in traffic. Even though he doesn’t have the longest arms, he does a good job catching the ball within his frame and finishing through contact.
After the catch, he’s not overly flashy, but he’s effective. He gets upfield quickly, can make the first guy miss, and runs with enough strength to stay on his feet through contact.
He also plays with a physical edge. You can see it when the ball is in the air, and you can see it as a blocker too. He does the little things that coaches like.
The big takeaway with Bernard is pretty simple. He may not have that freaky trait profile some other receivers have, but he looks like a guy who knows how to play the position. That gives him a pretty safe floor.

ATHLETIC TESTING
Germie Bernard has solid numbers across the board.
At 6’1, 206 pounds, he has good size for the position and looks strong enough to handle physical coverage.
He ran a 4.48 in the 40, which is plenty fast enough. He also posted a good agility score, and that matches what you see on tape when he gets in and out of breaks.
The arm length is not ideal, so he is not bringing that huge catch radius some other receivers have, but that does not stop him from making plays because the hands and timing are good.
Overall, the testing matches the film. Smooth, reliable, and athletic enough to do his job well.

DRAFT ANALYSIS

Rapid Reaction to Landing Spot: Average
Germie Bernard was selected 47th overall by the Pittsburgh Steelers in the NFL Draft. He is a total pro who does not have many flaws in his game. He is technically sound, reliable, and ready to contribute right away because he already executes the fundamentals so well.
Essentially, he is a high-floor player that coaches will feel comfortable putting on the field immediately. My reaction to the landing spot is (Average).
FANTASY INSIGHTS
From a dynasty perspective, Germie Bernard feels like the type of receiver who can become a reliable piece.
In long-term fantasy leagues, Germie Bernard looks like a player you can count on. He might not be the superstar everyone drafts first, but he is the kind of receiver who stays in the league because he gets open and catches everything. That is valuable.
He is a dependable choice for teams that need consistent points every week. Even though there is not a ton of noise around his name yet, his solid skills mean he could easily become a steady starter for your roster. WR2/3.
