DFS Primetime: Volume 2

Its prime time which is the best time to have a beer and enjoy the late-night clip. This week will be a lot easier to try and pick some good players. It’s a regular Monday this week with only two games. So, Let’s take a look at the matchups.

Philadelphia Eagles @ Atlanta Falcons (Sun 8:20 pm )

Cleveland Browns @ New York Jets (Mon 8:20 pm)

QuarterBacks

Stay Away From

Trevor Siemian: With Sam Darold out with Mono, Trevor will step in this week and try to get the Jets a win. In his first start this year I wouldn’t expect him to set the QB curve this week in daily fantasy. There are better options this week so just stay away from Trevor.

Solid Pick

Carson Wentz: With how bad the Falcons defense looked last week there was still much improved from last year. But the Eagles have one of the best offenses in the league. Expect a big game from Carson in this game. It should be a high scoring game, So expect the fantasy points to stack in this one.

Running Backs

Stay Away From

Devonta Freeman: Freeman hasn’t had a hundred yard since 2017 (last week, 8 carries 19 yards). Freeman has been in a steady decline since then. With injuries combined with the change in the offense, Freeman hasn’t been dependable at all. Just stay away from him.

Solid Pick

Nick Chubb: With the injury to Le’Veon Bell (shoulder) Chubb will be the solid pick this week. With a solid outing last week(17 carries 71 yards 3 rec 10 yards), look for him to get more production out of his opportunities this week.

Sleeper

Miles Sanders: Looking at the tape Miles is clearly the best back for the Eagles. I hope the Eagle’s coaches don’t hold him back this week. Not getting a lot of opportunities last week expect more this week since Atlanta’s rush defense is suspect at best. Dalvin Cook had a career year last week versus this defense. Miles should put a solid stat line to help your team this week.

Wide Receivers

Stay Away From

Jarvis Landry: With Odell here, Jarvis only had four receptions last week, which isn’t a good sign. Being that the wide receiver group is stacked this week Jarvis may be too expensive to take a chance on while stacking your line up in other areas.

Solid Pick

Julio Jones: Ok, Five consecutive 100-yard games. I think that’s enough said.

Odell Beckham: Baker targeted Odell 11 times last week in a loss. Beckham is Baker’s go-to guy, and he is a freak of a talent. Pick him up to help you win this week.

Sleeper

Jamison Crowder: In his years with Denver Trevor Siemian targeted the slot position 58% percent of the time. With Crowder manning that position for the Jet’s he will possibly be the best sleeper this week at any position.

Tight End

Solid Pick

Zach Ertz: He is the best tight in the group, so you have to go with him. You can take a chance with the other tight ends. The others are very solid, but Zach has the best chance to set the curve for the position

Defense

Browns: With a backup quarterback playing this week hopefully this Browns defense will live up to the hype. They are the best option out of the four available on paper. Let’s just hope that paper translates to the field.
