WHO ARE THE CONSENSUS TOP FIVE PLAYERS?

PEDIGREE (BACKGROUND)
Spencer Rattler was the QB1 and 11th overall prospect coming out of high school. The five-star Arizona native chose to play for Lincoln Riley in Oklahoma. After sitting out for the 2019 season behind Jalen Hurts, Rattler was allowed to start during his redshirt freshman season in 2020. The 6’1” 205 lbs. quarterback is still developing, but we expect to see him drafted early in the 2022 NFL Draft.
Sam Howell was the QB6 and 93rd overall prospect coming out of high school. The four-star Carolina native chose to play for Mac Brown in North Carolina. Howell was immediately thrust into the starting job as a freshman in 2019. The 6’1” 225 lbs. quarterback is expected to be drafted early in the 2022 NFL Draft.
Kedon Slovis was the QB47 and 705th overall prospect coming out of high school. The three-star Arizona native chose to play for Clay Helton at USC. Because of an injury to the incumbent, Slovis was thrust into the starting job as a freshman in 2019. The 6’2” 200 lbs. quarterback is expected to be selected before the close of day-two in the 2022 NFL Draft.
Jayden Daniels was the QB3 and 35th overall prospect coming out of high school. The four-star California native chose to play for Herm Edwards at Arizona State. Daniels was immediately thrust into the starting job as a freshman in 2019. The 6’3” 185 lbs. quarterback is expected to be a mid-round pick in the 2022 NFL Draft, but a strong junior season could see that stock skyrocket.
JT Daniels was the QB3 and 16th overall prospect coming out of high school. The five-star Georgia native chose to play for Clay Helton at USC. Daniels was immediately thrust into the starting job as a freshman in 2018. However, a season-ending injury caused USC to stick with Slovis as the starter and Daniels transferred to Georgia to play for Kirby Smart. The 6’3” 210 lbs. quarterback is expected to be drafted early in the 2022 NFL Draft.
PAST PRODUCTION (COLLEGE STATS)
Of the grouping, Rattler and Slovis were the most accurate passers thus far, whereas the Daniels’ were less accurate than preferred. JT Daniels and Rattler were the most efficient with their yardage, where Jayden Daniels and Slovis left some meat on the bone. Rattler and Howell, we’re the most efficient scoring. Jayden Daniels is the only quarterback of this grouping to be viewed as a threat on the ground, and his incredible interception rate of 0.7 identifies him as a solid game manager.
