Hello IDP Nation, we now have two weeks in the books and there are a few players who have caused fantasy owners to begin to panic. The questions range from is this just a slow start? Will they bounce back? Should I cut or trade said player? What’s wrong with him? Why isn’t he producing and so on and so on? Week three of “Thursday Night Kick-off” starts with a defensive divisional matchup. The Jacksonville Jaguars will host the Tennessee Titans. With both teams coming off a loss, a win is needed to get back on track. This makes for a great game to start your daily fantasy week off with and is located under the classic section of Draft Kings. This is game one out of 16 total scheduled games this week, so it’s imperative to get a great start so you can finish strong on Sunday. Rookies are highly coveted in the dynasty community, but their value can be very volatile at times. In this series each week, we’ll look at their numbers and what impact they have. I am also including their snap counts and percentage of snaps. These snap counts can tell us a lot about how much a player is being used and the opportunities they have to make plays. Expecting 16 games from Hicks is a mistake and the pace will slow down without more OT games. Antoine Bethea led the Cardinals with 1,111 snaps last season. Typically there are a few players who top 1,100 snaps every season. Hicks and Swearinger being on pace for 1,300 snaps, would mean they would play almost four more games’ worth of snaps than the typical highest seasonal snap total.
