Paul’s Picks: DFS Week 8

In this article, I’ll be breaking down all eleven matchups* from Week 8, sharing my thoughts on player prices** and stacking opportunities. As you read, please note that the player names in bold are what I consider my “core” players or guys that I’m sliding into a large percentage of my lineups. Oh, and if you’re new to DFS, you should check out my DFS Tips and Tricks article here.

*At the time of this writing, there are still a number of injury situations that have yet to be resolved.

Start/Sit Week 8

Each and every week, I’ll be covering a handful of players that I believe will either exceed expectations or let your team down in a major way. Here’s who you should be looking at for Week 8.

If Miles Sanders is forced to miss another week, Boston Scott is a must-start. He handled 70% of the Eagles’ RB opportunities against the Giants in Week 7, racking up over 90 total yards and scoring the game-winning TD. The Cowboys’ defense has been abused at every turn this season, and Scott has a three-down skillset. Don’t overthink this one.

Each and every week, I’ll be covering a handful of players that I believe will either exceed expectations or let your team down in a major way. Here’s who you should be looking at for Week 7. In terms of points per game, Justin Herbert is the QB8. Through four games, Herbert has 10 total TDs, and he’s averaging nearly 300 passing yards per game. You can trust the rookie against Jacksonville’s atrocious defense in Week 7.

Paul’s Picks: DFS Week 6

Without the Chiefs, Seahawks, Cowboys, Cardinals, Bills, Saints, or Raiders on the main slate, we’ll have to get creative in Week 6. I’ll be breaking down all eleven matchups, sharing my thoughts on player prices* and stacking opportunities. As you read, please note that the player names in bold are what I consider my “core” players or guys that I’m sliding into a large percentage of my lineups. Two games have been moved off of the main slate8, leaving us with ten games to sort through in Week 5. Start/Sit Week 5

Each and every week, I’ll be covering a handful of players that I believe will either exceed expectations or let your team down in a major way. Here’s who you should be looking at for Week 5. This one should go without saying, but please start Kareem Hunt. He will operate as the undisputed lead back in Cleveland while Nick Chubb is on IR. Despite a tough matchup against the Colts’ much-improved defense, Hunt should be considered an RB1 this week and every week until Chubb returns.

Paul’s Picks: DFS Week 4

Unlike Week 3, there are a ton of high-priced QBs and RBs to sort through on this Week 4 slate. I’ll be breaking down all twelve matchups, sharing my thoughts on player prices* and stacking opportunities. As you read, please note that the player names in bold are what I consider my “core” players or guys that I’m sliding into a large percentage of my lineups. Start/Sit Week 4

Each and every week, I’ll be covering a handful of players that I believe will either exceed expectations or let your team down in a major way. Here’s who you should be looking at for Week 4. Minshew flopped against the Dolphins on Thursday Night Football, but I’m going back to the well in Week 4. He’s got a soft matchup against the Bengals, and the return of D.J. Chark should give the whole offense a boost.

Paul’s Picks: DFS Week 3

Building lineups on a slate without Christian McCaffrey, Saquon Barkley, Lamar Jackson, Patrick Mahomes, Michael Thomas, Davante Adams, Tyreek Hill, Travis Kelce, or Mark Andrews feels incredibly strange. Despite the absence of those cap-hogging superstars, there are plenty of great options at each position in Week 3. I’ll be breaking down all thirteen matchups, sharing my thoughts on player prices* and stacking opportunities. As you read, please note that the player names in bold are what I consider my “core” players or guys that I’m sliding into a large percentage of my lineups. Start/Sit Week 3

Each and every week, I’ll be covering a handful of players that I believe will either exceed expectations or let your team down in a major way. Here’s who you should be looking at for Week 3. To start, I’ve determined that Gardner Minshew is good at football. He completed 95% of his passes in Week 1, and he’s thrown for 3 TDs in back-to-back games. Now he’s up against a Dolphins defense that just allowed Josh Allen to throw for over 400 yards and 4 TDs. Roll out Minshew as a QB1 this week.

Paul’s DFF Redraft Championship Draft

On August 31st, I had the pleasure of drafting against eleven brilliant fantasy minds for the DFF Redraft Championship, a PPR league with 1QB, 2RBs, 3WRs, 1TE, 2Flex, and 1D/ST as starters and 7 bench slots. We spent the night sniping one another and trash-talking on Zoom, which was a ton of fun. When all was said and done, I was thrilled with my team, so let’s take a closer look at how the draft played out.

DFS Tips and Tricks

Building a DFS lineup can be a daunting task. The salary cap system is vastly different from a typical snake draft, and the potential player combinations are quite literally endless. In this article, I’ll be laying out some of my favorite DFS strategies and tips to help you sift through those difficult decisions and set your lineups with confidence.

What You Need to Know About DFS

There has never been a better time to try DFS. Injuries? Holdouts? COVID designations? As a DFS player, nothing can phase you. Instead of rushing out to the waiver wire or frantically trading for the backups of your injured players, you can just sit back and relax while you wait for all the news to come out. You can build your lineup ten minutes before kickoff on Sunday if you want to. And, of course, the best reason to try DFS is… *drumroll please* … you can win a TON of money and have fun doing it. All it takes is the right strategy (keep an eye out for my Tips and Tricks article) and a little bit of luck.

Jared Goff: 2020 Dynasty Profile

Jared Goff: 2020 Dynasty Profile

Jared Goff was the number one overall pick in the 2016 NFL Draft. He played poorly in his rookie year after beginning the season on the bench, but his play improved dramatically in 2017 under Head Coach Sean McVay. He led the Rams to an 11-5 record, made the Pro Bowl, and finished as the QB12. In 2018, Goff turned in his best season to date, posting career-highs across the board in completions, completion percentage, yards, and TDs and finishing as the QB7. The 2019 season was a bit of a disappointment, especially in the passing TDs department, but Goff led the league in pass attempts and managed to finish as the QB13.

Redraft Values

Redraft Values: Part Two

In this second edition of “Redraft Values,” I’ll be taking a look at five more players that are poised to outperform their ADPs. In this article, I’m looking at Robert Woods. What does Robert Woods have to do to earn some respect? He finished as the WR11 in 2018 and the WR14 in 2019, receiving 130+ targets in both seasons. Then, this offseason, the Rams traded away Brandin Cooks, opening up even more target opportunities. We should be expecting more of the same from Woods in 2020, yet he’s frequently available at the end of the 4th round.  The most mind-boggling thing about Robert Woods’ ADP is actually his teammate Tyler Higbee’s ADP. Higbee is currently going as the TE8, in the eighth round, due to an incredible five-game stretch to end 2019 in which he put up four 100-yard performances. But did you know that during that same stretch, Robert Woods had a 16-game pace of 125 receptions and over 1,500 receiving yards?
