In today’s article, I’m referencing the five biggest risers in Dynasty value over the past 30 days, according to KeepTradeCut. I plan to make a follow-up article discussing the five biggest fallers, so check that out as well. We’ve already received tons of news on players and depth charts as training camp is underway, resulting in some fluctuation in Dynasty value and potential NFL lines so make sure to download Betway. I’ll cover these risers, explain why the market is high on said player, and then cover whether I believe the value change is warranted. Let’s take a look at who the Dynasty market is buying right now.
Top Risers
5. Ja’Marr Chase (WR – CIN)
Chase hasn’t moved up in positional ranking (still Dynasty WR3 overall), but he’s the fifth-highest riser on KeepTradeCut over the past 30 days, with a value increase of 254 points. It’s unclear exactly what has caused Chase’s recent rise in value. He’s been spotted at training camp on the sidelines but hasn’t participated yet as he continues contract negotiations with Cincinnati. Tee Higgins recently signed a franchise tag keeping him in Cincy for one more season, but he will likely play elsewhere in 2025.
Nothing has changed with Chase’s situation, so I’m no higher on him than I was 30 days ago. He’s still a Top 3 Dynasty WR and a cornerstone asset. Are people excited he’ll be catching passes from Slim Shady this year? (If you haven’t seen Joe Burrow‘s new haircut, you should check that out.)
4. Caleb Williams (QB – CHI)
The number one overall pick has had some ups and downs to start training camp, but reports indicate he’s caught on faster than expected. Caleb has been the unquestioned leader and QB1 in this offense from Day 1, which cannot be said about the other Round 1 quarterbacks in this draft class. The Bears are all in on their franchise quarterback, and I think Dynasty players are finally realizing they need to hop on board before it’s too late.
Caleb is still the Dynasty QB8 but has seen his value increase by 261 in KTC. I’m fine with the increase in value, but the training camp news hasn’t changed anything for me.
3. Isiah Pacheco (RB – KC)
The recent rise in Pacheco’s Dynasty value has less to do with Pacheco as a player and more to do with his backfield competition. Reports suggest Deneric Prince is now the RB2 rather than Clyde Edwards-Helaire. Now, we’ve all seen CEH suck for quite some time. But I guess the fact he was a former first-round selection kept people a little weary of projecting Pacheco as a workhorse. Prince is a UDFA, so people may think that if he’s the next best option, the Chiefs have nobody behind Pacheco. And they’d probably be thinking right.
I get it; Pacheco appears to be a three-down back on arguably the best team in the NFL. I’m just not willing to pay the price of RB11 to acquire him in my leagues. I believe his ceiling is capped in PPR leagues due to his limited role as a receiver, and his lack of team investment has me concerned about his long-term outlook. This is a guy who may not be starting in 2025.
2. Tyler Goodson (RB – IND)
Tyler Goodson is a name you may not even be familiar with unless you’re a Colts fan. Goodson is a UDFA out of Iowa, signing with the Packers out of college in 2022. He appeared in six games for Indianapolis in 2023, rushing for 87 yards on 13 attempts, adding six receptions for 34 yards. This Indianapolis coaching staff likes what Goodson offers in the passing game, and he’s made some noise thus far in training camp. However, recent news revealed that Goodson is dealing with a toe injury and may be added to the PUP list, which may stop the momentum he’s built up in moving up this depth chart.
You may have noticed Goodson being added to a few of your Dynasty leagues. If he goes on the PUP list, I imagine he’ll return to the waivers. Still, it’s worth keeping an eye on how things shape up in this Indianapolis backfield in the coming weeks. Between Evan Hull, Trey Sermon, and Goodson, the RB2 spot is wide open for the taking.
1. Bijan Robinson (RB – ATL)
Dynasty players may have viewed Bijan’s rookie season as disappointing, but he put up some pretty elite numbers, especially considering the circumstances. Bijan finished as the RB9 overall, posting 1,463 scrimmage yards and finding the endzone eight times. And he did this under former HC Arthur Smith, who seemed to be committed to getting everyone except his top playmakers the ball. Bijan saw 214 rush attempts compared to Tyler Allgeier‘s 186 attempts, and Allgeier was far less productive with his touches. I can’t imagine Raheem Morris allowing this backfield to remain a 50/50 split in 2024.
Nothing noteworthy has come from the Falcons’ training camp thus far; I think people are just starting to get excited about Bijan in a workhorse role. He has the size, strength, speed, and receiving ability to win fantasy leagues for you, so long as he’s utilized properly. I don’t have any Bijan shares, as I’d prefer buying the cheaper Jahmyr Gibbs or Breece Hall if I’m looking for an elite RB. But I can’t blame anyone for being all in on Bijan for Dynasty. There’s no reason not to be excited.
