Week 7 Streamers

We are already approaching the halfway point in the fantasy football season. It doesn’t matter what your record is; you MUST look into streaming options every week. Throughout this series, we will provide the best weekly options to stream at quarterback, tight end, and D/ST.  Keep in mind, each streaming option will be below 50% owned, according to ESPN leagues.

QUARTERBACK

Streamer #1: Matt Ryan at MIA, 29.1% owned

 Week   Opponent  Fantasy Points
 1  vs Eagles  7.4
 2  at Buccaneers   19.3
 3  at Giants  15.6
 4  vs WFT  29.0
 5  vs Jets  21.6
 6  BYE  WEEK

The veteran signal-caller has been playing his best ball as of late. In each of his last two games, he has surpassed the 20-point mark, which is all you can ask for from a streaming quarterback option. Fresh off a Week 6 bye, Ryan looks to continue his hot stretch against an underachieving Miami defense. Through six games, the Dolphins rank in the bottom-10 of the league against fantasy quarterbacks. They’ve allowed at least 15 fantasy points to that position in every game this season, and you can expect Ryan to top that number this week against them. Ryan’s fantasy stock should go up even more with Calvin Ridley set to be back in action after missing Week 5.

Streamer #2: Tua Tagovailoa vs ATL, 25.3% owned

 Week   Opponent  Fantasy Points
 1  at Patriots  17.2
 2  vs Bills  0.5
 3  at Raiders  DNP
 4  vs Colts  DNP
 5  at Buccaneers   DNP
 6  at Jaguars  22.4

Miami desperately needed Tagovailoa back last week, but they still fell short to Jacksonville, dropping to 1-5 on the season. Tua was not the problem. In his first game back after breaking his ribs early in Week 2, the second-year pro played exceptionally well. He completed 33 of his 47 pass attempts for 329 yards, two touchdowns, and one interception. That effort was good enough for 22.4 fantasy points, as he served as the QB10 of Week 6. Expect an even better performance this week against an abysmal Atlanta secondary. The Falcons have given up the fifth-most fantasy points to the quarterback position this season, and they’ve allowed three different signal-callers to top 27 points in five games. If you need a streaming option at this position, Tua should be one of your top targets.

TIGHT END

Streamer #1: Zach Ertz at LV, 48.3% owned

Week   Opponent  PPR  Points   Half PPR Points   Standard Points
 1  at Falcons  5.4  4.4  3.4
 2  vs 49ers  1.6  1.1  0.6
 3  at Cowboys  15.3  13.3  11.3
 4  vs Chiefs  12.0  9.0  6.0
 5  at Panthers  1.7  1.2  0.7
 6  vs Buccaneers   12.9  10.9  8.9

Fresh off being traded from Philadelphia, Ertz plans to make his Cardinals debut this Sunday against the Raiders. He joins an undefeated team that poses one of the best passing offenses in the league. He should battle with DeAndre Hopkins, Christian Kirk, A.J. Green, and Rondale Moore for targets. With Maxx Williams set to miss the remainder of the season, Ertz has an opportunity to shine this week. He’s lining up against one of the worst defenses in the league. The Texans are allowing the third-most fantasy points to tight ends this season. What’s even more intriguing for Ertz’ Week 7 fantasy stock is the fact that Houston is allowing an average of about 18 PPR points per game to the tight end position.

Streamer #2: Ricky Seals-Jones at GB, 20% owned

Week   Opponent   PPR  Points   Half PPR Points   Standard Points
 1  vs Chargers  N/A  N/A  N/A
 2  vs Giants   8.9  8.4  7.9
 3  at Bills  N/A  N/A  N/A
 4  at Falcons  3.9  2.9  1.9
 5  vs Saints  9.1  6.6  4.1
 6  vs Chiefs  15.8  13.8  11.8

In replacement of Logan Thomas (IR), Seals-Jones posted a solid Week 6 outing. In each of the last two weeks, he’s seen at least six targets. During that stretch, he’s served as the TE10 in PPR leagues, hauling in nine receptions for 99 yards and one touchdown. It’s safe to say that Taylor Heinicke trusts his veteran tight end, and you should expect the two to connect a lot in Week 7 as well. Green Bay sits in the middle of the pack against tight ends this season, but with the injuries to Thomas, Curtis Samuel, and Antonio Gibson, Seals-Jones should be a busy man this Sunday.

D/ST

Streamer #1: New Orleans Saints at SEA, 49.8% owned

 Week   Opponent   Fantasy Points
 1  vs Packers  14.0
 2  at Panthers  5.0
 3  at Patriots  19.0
 4  vs Giants  -3.0
 5  at WFT  5.0
 6  BYE  WEEK

New Orleans’ defense has been disappointing this season. They’ve produced double-digit points only twice in five games. But this week should serve them well, as they take on Geno Smith and the injury-riddled Seahawks. Both Russell Wilson and Chris Carson are on IR, which makes the Saints’ defense a VERY intriguing streaming option for this week. Pittsburgh’s defense inched out eight fantasy points against them this past Sunday Night. Expect around the same from New Orleans. If you can get more than six fantasy points from your streaming defense, you put yourself in a really good situation that week.

Streamer #2: Green Bay Packers vs WAS, 49.1% owned

 Week   Opponent   Fantasy Points
 1  at Saints -3.0
 2  vs Lions  6.0
 3  at 49ers  9.0
 4  vs Steelers  9.0
 5  at Bengals  6.0
 6  at Bears  9.0

Speaking of at least six fantasy points, the Packers’ defense has produced at least six points in each of their last five games. They have been one of the more consistent streaming options during that span, and they draw a decent matchup this week against Washington. Kansas City’s below-average defense produced eight fantasy points against them last week, and they pitched a second-half shutout during their victory. Green Bay is dealing with injuries in their secondary, but if you can’t find New Orleans’ defense in free agency this week, they may be your best remaining option. They won’t “wow” you with a ton of points, but you can expect their consistent play to continue on Sunday.

BONUS

Deep Stream: Cole Kmet at TB, 11.3% owned

Week   Opponent   PPR  Points   Half PPR Points   Standard Points
 1   at Rams  9.2  6.7  4.2
 2  vs Bengals  1.0  0.5  0.0
 3  at Browns  2.1  1.6  1.1
 4  vs Lions  1.6  1.1  0.6
 5  at Raiders  4.2  3.2  2.2
 6  vs Packers  8.9  6.9  4.9

This one may be a bit of a stretch, but that’s why it’s labeled as a “deep stream.” Mo Alie-Cox found himself in this spot last week, and he turned in 9.8 PPR points. Kmet has a chance to turn in a solid outing of his own, as he takes on a Tampa Bay secondary that continues to give up a ton of receiving yards. The Buccaneers have given up the ninth-most fantasy points to tight ends this season, and six different tight ends have topped double-digit PPR points against them this season. Coming off his best performance of the year last week (8.9 PPR points), Kmet looks to change that number to seven this week.
