Welcome to Week 6 of the Dynasty waiver wire.
In this column, I will highlight players owned in less than 50% of Sleeper Dynasty leagues.ย
Sean Tucker
29% rostered on Sleeper
Tucker had by far the best game of his career Sunday. He exploded for 136 rushing yards and a touchdown on 14 attempts (9.7 yards per carry). Per Next Gen Stats, he racked up 47 rush yards over expected, 6 rushes over 10+ yards, and a scintillating rush EPA per attempt of +.73.
Tucker was widely considered a top NFL running back prospect during the course of his college career. He amassed an amazing 92.2 PFF rush grade to go with 3203 rush yards, 27 touchdowns, and an impressive 139 missed tackles forced.
Rachaad White has been one of the least efficient rushers of the football for the last two years. Coming into this year, I had him as a hard fade and Bucky Irving as a buy, due to this fact. White seems destined for a 3rd down-passing back-only role.
Irving has been very impressive and remains the favorite for early rushing downs. But Tucker just proved he can be a more than capable backup to Irving.
There will be a lot of competition for Tucker.
Be prepared to bid upwards of 30-40% of your FAAB budget.
Tyler Goodson
43% rostered on Sleeper
I am surprised Goodson is still under 50% rostered on Sleeper. He has been useful for the past two weeks, posting 9.2 and 11.3 PPR fantasy points. He is significantly more explosive than the plodding Trey Sermon. Sermon is now averaging a paltry 2.5 yards per carry on the season. Jonathan Taylor likely isnโt out too much longer, but in Dynasty, all backup RBs should be rostered. You may even get one more useful week out of Goodson. It would not shock me if Sermon were released once Taylor comes back. He got his chance to prove himself with significant volume and failed. In some ways, it is more beneficial for poor backup running backs not to get that opportunity to show what they can do. This may be one of those scenarios.
Be prepared to bid upwards of 10-20% of your FAAB budget.
Mason Rudolph
17% rostered on Sleeper
This recommendation is not so much about Mason Rudolph as it is about Will Levis. The idea here would be to add Rudolph at his current Keep Trade Cut community valuation of QB56 and trade him once he takes over as the starter at about a QB35 valuation.
Will Levis is awful. My apologies to the word awful.
He is the worst quarterback by a large amount in terms of EPA per dropback. He is more than twice as bad in this metric as the fifth-worst Gardner Minshew, who was recently benched.
Rudolph should be rostered in every Dynasty league.
He should only cost 1-5% of your FAAB budget.
