Under the Radar: Week 6 IDP Starters

Week 6 has come quickly. It seems like this season has been going too fast. I will share a few players who are under a 59 % start percent. These players could be the difference from a dart throw, to a player who has a little more upside. With bye weeks and injuries we’re always looking for an edge. Here are my options this week:

Jonathan Allen, DE, Washington Redskins – 34.48% Started

This rookie has been improving weekly.  The stats may not be what fantasy owners are looking for, yet. He has been a factor. Week 4 he piled up 5 QB pressures! He’s getting close. This week he has a San Francisco O-line to play with. Now, the tackles have been playing surprisingly well, but the interior line has not. The mismatch is there, and I have to believe he will have a few chances to dump the QB.  In run support, he has excelled this season. Tackles will come, and I like his chances to bring some heat (QB pressure) this week.

Zach Cunningham, LB, Houston Texans – 42% Started

Another rookie option. Against the Cleveland Browns this week he will not be playing in front of a national audience, but he will light up your fantasy teams. Last week against the Chiefs he has 9 combined tackles. Without J.J Watt and Whitney Mercilus, he stepped up and will continue to be relied upon. This kid is ready to show his skills, and the tackles will pile up this week. Might it surprise you to know he currently sits 2nd in tackles amongst rookies this season? Put on the popcorn and enjoy the show. With his coverage skills, I really can see a few plays against the Browns passing game as well as him shutting down the run game.

Janoris Jenkins, CB, New York Giants – 41 % Started

He is practicing and healthy for the Denver Game. Trevor Sieman was a little erratic when rattled this season, and the Giants may very well force a few well-advised throws into coverage. I like him for a few defended passes and a couple of tackles. I’d roll the dice in big play scoring if I need a CB this week.

Good luck this week! Fewer players falling into the sleepers range as bye weeks have arrived. Check out our IDP Ranks, IDP Waiver Adds, and IDP Start Sit for Week 6 from the IDP Team. Go after it and let me know how you make out @DFF_JohnIDP
