You all ready for Week 5 action!? Go time! We have our first of the non-hurricane bye weeks hitting us. Atlanta, Denver, New Orleans and Washington are all enjoying the games on TV this week. Here are a few sleepers who are under 50% started in MFL leagues for you to consider.
Deone Bucannon, LB, Arizona Cardinals – 34.52% Started
He came back last week and was worked slowly back into the game [44 snaps]. So, his role will grow this week, and with Haason Reddick moving to OLB this week I am feeling good about his chances for at LEAST 5 tackles. If you need bye week help or an LB 3, your option is this guy.
Avery Williamson, LB, Tennessee Titans – 47.95% Started
Consistent is the first word that comes to my mind when I hear his name. Lock in 6 tackles [just above his average] for the week. Going against the Miami Dolphins Week 5 he might even give some excellent bonus points on pass deflections for you as well. Get him in your lineup.
Frank Clark, DE, Seattle Seahawks – 45.57% Started
Clark came back looking tough last week, nailing 2 tackles for a loss. Playing the Rams come with some opportunities for a few tackles but, I am feeling right about some pressure coming from him and if he is around the QB…will have a chance at a sack. If you’re in need of a DE, he is an excellent option. Also, Cliff Avril will not be playing which should bring more snaps for Clark in pass rushing situations.
Marcus Maye, S, New York Jets – 47.6% Started
Maye is a great choice this week if you’re needy. I don’t see him missing out on 5 or 6 tackles going against the Browns. I don’t see many broken tackles in front of him but, can see him making some splashes in the passing game and could even land a nice INT. In my leagues where I can start 3 safeties, he is locked in for me. If you need a playmaker at S this week, sign him up.
Good luck, everyone! I hope you all win and stay injury free. Feel free to hit me up anytime on Twitter @DFF_JohnIDP. You can check out our new weekly IDP features Tuesday – Saturday to help get you ready for Sundays. Also, DFF’s IDP Rankings for Week 5 can be found here.
