The Dynasty Wire: Week 9

This week and every week going forward we’ll bring you several recommendations for players you should add to your dynasty rosters. We’ll mainly be targeting lower-owned guys who should be available in all but the deepest leagues. Be sure to check out all of our in-season content right here.

(There will be no recommended FAAB spends in this article, as those decisions always depend on your team’s needs)

Jakeem Grant (WR – MIA)

Most football fans know Jakeem Grant as the explosive return man but he’s also a talented wide receiver who is about to see a lot more playing time. Dolphins starting receiver Preston Williams was carted off the field with a foot injury over the weekend leaving Grant as his replacement. He caught four of five targets in Week 9 and should be more involved going forward.

Richie James (WR – SF)

We knew someone would have to step up with the slew of injuries in San Francisco but I’m not sure anyone thought they would witness a performance like the one Richie James put on this Sunday. James caught nine of 13 targets for 184 yards and a touchdown. He finished with 33.4 fantasy points and should probably have already been rostered but I seem to find him on all waiver wires. My only bit of advice would be frugal with your FAAB when considering Richie James who could easily go away in a week or two.

Isaiah Ford (WR – NE)

Ford was dealt to New England in a rare interdivisional trade increasing any and all intrigue surrounding the young standout. Ford came into the league with some hype but suffered a knee injury slowing his progress. He’s certainly a long shot but his 6’2″ frame is exactly the kind of wide receiver New England is in need of. Don’t expect production any time soon, this is purely a stash and wait.

Mack Hollins (WR – MIA)

Another Miami Dolphins receiver makes the dynasty waiver wire list due to the Preston Williams injury. While Jakeem Grant should see most of the work the Dolphins made it a point to get Hollins involved. Hollins received a red zone target he was able to secure for the score which should prompt more opportunities. Hollins is also a hopeful stash.

Chris Conley (WR – JAC)

Conley struggles early on this season and many fantasy managers dropped him as a result but he might be a tempting option with all the injuries in 2020. Conley received eight targets for the first time since Week 3 and caught seven for 52 yards. The main change was rookie quarterback Jake Luton who appears to be good news for Conley. Conley could be a sneaky option if Luton remains the starter in Jacksonville.
