Dynasty Waiver Wire: Week 15

Whether you’re in the playoffs or not, you need to still work the waiver wire. Never stop working the wire. The NFL still has several weeks of the regular season left, which means injuries and poor play will provide us with players to our rosters. Some of these players could be one week fill-ins for your playoff team. Some may end up being stashes we use in the future. Most are likely to flame out never to be heard of again. But that’s why we have roster space. Pick up players to plug and play, or to stash.

The Waiver Wire: Week 12

Some weeks your best strategy is to keep your FAAB in your wallets and save it for another day. This is not one of those weeks. Though not especially deep, there are some quality options available this week. Several running backs will be in line for significant workloads. There is also a receiving back who could help your team in the playoff chase. If you’re looking towards 2020 already, there’s a player or two to stash at the bottom of your rosters.

The Waiver Wire: Week 9 (Updated)

After Week 8 had just two teams on bye, Week 9 sees four teams with the week off. The Cincinnati Bengals, Atlanta Falcons, Los Angeles Rams, and New Orleans Saints are all off this week along with some high powered fantasy assets. This week’s waiver wire isn’t the strongest so you may want to be a bit frugal. If you don’t have any pressing needs this would be a good week to hold on to your FAAB bucks or your waiver priority. There are some deeper options though if you’re in need. Let’s get to it.

The Waiver Wire: Week 8

After a relatively calm few weeks on the injury front, injuries came back with a vengeance this week At this point of the season, you’re often left hoping to just find players to fill your roster out from the waiver wire. Because of a few key injuries, there could be players you pick up this week that not only win you a week but actually save your season. Fortuitously only two teams are on bye in Week 8, Dallas, and Baltimore (yet there are six teams on bye in Week 10 for some reason). Let’s dig in!

The Waiver Wire: Week 7

Week 7 sees some heavy offensive firepower on a break as the Carolina Panthers, Cleveland Browns, Pittsburgh Steelers, Tampa Bay Buccaneers all get their byes this week. Poor quarterback play seemed to be a theme this week. Thankfully, there were few injuries to contend with and our waiver wire recommendations are largely free of injury-related suggested pickups. A quick note before we get to this week’s article. If your waiver wire has a number of backup running backs available make sure you put a bid in on them. Running backs (and quarterbacks) are only play away from a starting job, unlike wide receivers.

The Waiver Wire: Week 5

Concussions seemed to be the injury du jour this week. Jarvis Landry and T.J. Hockenson were both unable to finish their games on Sunday after suffering one. After last week’s relatively quiet week on the quarterback injury front, Mitchell Trubisky was lost to a shoulder (left) injury and Josh Allen went down with a concussion. Besides the regular waiver wire recommendations, I’ll sprinkle in some dynasty advice this week, to spice things up a bit. Bye weeks also continue with two more teams off in week five, the Lions and Dolphins.

The Waiver Wire: Week Four

We’re moving into the fourth week of the season, and fantasy football is in full swing. That means it’s time to start digging deep into your league’s waiver wires. Bye weeks begin with San Francisco and the New York Jets taking the week off. We had no quarterback injuries this week, but Saquon Barkley did go down to an ankle injury. Outside of that, this week was mercifully injury-free for fantasy assets. That leaves less obvious options on the wire. Ownership on the below players varies depending on your league size and owner’s skill level.

The Waiver Wire: Week 2

Week one brought many surprises. Everywhere you looked an unheralded player put up a monster stat line. Week one also brought with it a slew of injuries that could change the fortunes of many fantasy teams. Some of the suggestions below will be due to injuries while others are based on a deeper look into Sunday’s action.

The Offseason Waiver Wire

This week’s waiver wire article is all heavy on backup running backs. When scouring the waiver wire, you should be looking to add players who are only an injury away from a significant role. Wide receivers don’t typically fit this bill because even when a wide receiver goes down to injury, his targets can be distributed among many other receivers, running backs and tight ends. When a running goes down, his touches are usually not distributed to more than one or two other players. You can hold onto these players and hope that the become outliers. Or you can flip them for late-round picks or FAAB it’s all profit since all it will take to acquire them is the roster space.

The Waiver Wire: Week 15 Plug and Plays and Dynasty Stashes

Week 15! The playoffs roll on for some of us while others aren’t so lucky. Even if you’re out of the playoffs, you do yourself a disservice if you don’t continue to work the wire. Owners in the playoffs may be forced to cut players they stashed all season due to injuries to starters. Some
