Raiding The IDP Waiver Wire: Week 16

Week 15 has been the most chaotic week of the 2021 season. Arguably no fantasy playoff round has ever been more challenging than this. The waiver-wire moves that fantasy gamers are making this week are season-saving moves made at the eleventh hour in reaction to COVID-IR transactions and late-breaking inactives. This reality feels likely to spill over to Week 16 as well. This week’s waiver-wire offerings will be those players who appear likely to occupy near-full-time roles in their upcoming games.

IDP Post-Rookie Draft Waiver Targets

Each season in dynasty leagues there are post-rookie draft waiver targets that provide a tremendous value for owners who were savvy or lucky enough to find them on their roster. Some provide an immediate “home-run” return like Kamren Curl did last season or Maxx Crosby in 2019. Others make great taxi squad stashes that provide value later (think Jerome Baker, Josey Jewell, Jeffery Simmons, Dre Greenlaw, D.J. Wonnum, Alex Highsmith, etc.). The majority will fall flat as expected.

Kevin Harris: 2021 Devy Profile

Kevin Harris is a 5’10” 227 lbs. running back that was a former three-star recruit. He was 247’s 44th ranked running back in the 2019 class. When reviewing his high school tape, Harris was most likely overlooked for two reasons. He played at a smaller high school and his offensive line at his high school was very effective, minimizing both the need and opportunity for him to break tackles.

Raiding the IDP Waiver Wire: Week 11

The rate of injuries was yet again merciful to IDP fantasy gamers. Rams safety Taylor Rapp was one of very few players rostered in more than a third of IDP leagues on MyFantasyLeague.com who exited early. Rapp doesn’t belong on a redraft roster in 2020 anyway. Fantasy gamers browsing box scores, meanwhile, will have a tougher time discerning oasis from mirage on the waiver wire in Week 11. Seattle’s DJ Reed, for instance, piled up tackles and carries the position designation of “safety” on multiple platforms. Due to injuries, Reed has been pressed into service at cornerback, where he’s been an attractive target for opposing quarterbacks.

2020 NFL Draft Round 1 IDP Fantasy Preview

Now that the first round of the 2020 NFL Draft has concluded, I want to look at the values of all the defensive players, their landing spots, and what that could mean for us fantasy owners. How do they fit the team that drafted them? What kind of talent do they have around them? Will they make an impact right away or will they need time to find their role on the team? I’ll break all this down for you and get you ready for your fantasy drafts.

NFL Mock Draft: Part 2

We’re back with Part 2 and immediately get some excitement with our first skill player of the mock. CeeDee Lamb goes to the Jets at pick 11. There was some consideration here between a wide receiver and an offensive tackle, but I have a feeling the Jets will be in play when the draft rolls around for Washington Redskins’ Trent Williams.
