Still on the Market: Logan Ryan

The biggest name still on the market for the cornerbacks has to be Logan Ryan. He was drafted by the New England Patriots in the third round, as the 83rd selection overall of the 2013 NFL Draft. Ryan spent the first four seasons of his career with the Patriots before he hit free agency and signed with the Tennessee Titans.

IDP Change of Scenery: Denver to Baltimore

One of the more intriguing names left on the market for me was Derek Wolfe, who just agreed to terms with Baltimore Ravens a few days ago. Interestingly enough they signed Wolfe just days after Michael Brockers had issues with his physical, who they had signed earlier. Baltimore has been aggressively looking to overhaul its defensive line, as they have added Calais Campbell and tried to add Brockers.

IDP Change of Scenery: Cleveland to Las Vegas

One of the bigger names left on the market, Damarious Randall, just agreed to terms with the Las Vegas Raiders a few days ago. Unhappy with their veteran leadership and play at the safety position, they signed Randall to a one-year prove-it deal. There are no official numbers yet, but I would expect them to be team-friendly, and it’s been reported at $3.25 million.

IDP Change of Scenery: Atlanta to Cleveland

One of the bigger names left on the market, Adrian Clayborn, just signed with the Cleveland Browns, a few days ago. The Browns signed the former Atlanta Falcon to a two year, $5.75 million deal. Not an expensive signing, but a decent deal for Clayborn, and a team-friendly signing for the Browns. The deal will take the veteran defensive end through his age 33 season.

IDP Devy Rankings Top 25

#1 JR, LB, Micah Parsons, Penn State
Parsons led the team in tackles as a true freshman (82) and wasn’t a full-time starter. A year later he was that starter and led the team again (109) while becoming a complete impact linebacker. Along with his 109 tackles, he added 14 tackles for a loss, five sacks, four forced fumbles, and five pass breakups.

IDP Change of Scenery: San Francisco to Indianapolis

This trade has the star power, the first round pick involved and was a bit of surprise to a lot of us. The San Francisco 49ers traded star stud defensive tackle, DeForest Buckner, and in return, they would receive the Colts’ 2020 first round pick (13th overall). A big trade for both, with both getting impact pieces for their teams.

IDP Change of Scenery: Pittsburgh to Philadelphia

What a crazy first day of the legal tampering period, where teams can work deals with free agents, but they can’t become official until Wednesday. One of the best free agents signing in my opinion so far is the Philadelphia Eagles offer to defensive tackle Javon Hargrave. They will sign him to a three year, $39 million deal when free agency officially opens on Wednesday.

Dynamic Ducks

The Oregon Ducks have one of the best up and coming defenses in college football. Even losing such a high caliber player such as senior linebacker Troy Dye to the NFL Draft, the cupboard is far from bare in Eugene. The Ducks have some super talented young pieces that they will build around and keep them in the hunt, for not only a PAC-12 Championship each year but a BCS Playoff spot as well. I truly believe the Rams have to resign Littleton. They have some youth behind him, but it is uncertain and unproven youth. Littleton went undrafted out of Washington and has developed into one of the league’s best linebackers. He went from a two year backup for the Rams, to a two-year starter, with a Pro-Bowl selection in 2018. He’s their most accomplished and talented linebacking option.

Top Free Agent Interior Defensive Linemen

Chris Jones is not only the top prize free agent interior defensive lineman but he is one of the top 10 overall defensive free agents.
