IDP Change of Scenery: Denver to Baltimore

One of the more intriguing names left on the market for me was Derek Wolfe, who just agreed to terms with Baltimore Ravens a few days ago. Interestingly enough they signed Wolfe just days after Michael Brockers had issues with his physical, who they had signed earlier. Baltimore has been aggressively looking to overhaul its defensive line, as they have added Calais Campbell and tried to add Brockers.

IDP Change of Scenery: Cleveland to Las Vegas

One of the bigger names left on the market, Damarious Randall, just agreed to terms with the Las Vegas Raiders a few days ago. Unhappy with their veteran leadership and play at the safety position, they signed Randall to a one-year prove-it deal. There are no official numbers yet, but I would expect them to be team-friendly, and it’s been reported at $3.25 million.

IDP Change of Scenery: Atlanta to Cleveland

One of the bigger names left on the market, Adrian Clayborn, just signed with the Cleveland Browns, a few days ago. The Browns signed the former Atlanta Falcon to a two year, $5.75 million deal. Not an expensive signing, but a decent deal for Clayborn, and a team-friendly signing for the Browns. The deal will take the veteran defensive end through his age 33 season.

IDP Devy Rankings Top 25

#1 JR, LB, Micah Parsons, Penn State
Parsons led the team in tackles as a true freshman (82) and wasn’t a full-time starter. A year later he was that starter and led the team again (109) while becoming a complete impact linebacker. Along with his 109 tackles, he added 14 tackles for a loss, five sacks, four forced fumbles, and five pass breakups.

IDP Change of Scenery: Pittsburgh to Philadelphia

What a crazy first day of the legal tampering period, where teams can work deals with free agents, but they can’t become official until Wednesday. One of the best free agents signing in my opinion so far is the Philadelphia Eagles offer to defensive tackle Javon Hargrave. They will sign him to a three year, $39 million deal when free agency officially opens on Wednesday.

Top Free Agent Edge Rushers

At age 27, Clowney will be entering his eighth season in the league. Up to this point, there have been mixed results from the freakish athlete. Injuries have been an issue throughout his career, as he’s only played all sixteen games in a season just once. However, there is no doubt the impact he can have on the field when healthy.

IDP Devy: Yetur Gross-Matos

Yetur has very good size and length. His length and reach provide for an extended tackle radius, that allows him to routinely make tackles others can’t. These same attributes also allow him to set the edge effectively. He is one of the more athletic prospects in this class and has good handwork, with swipes, swats, and rips. Gross-Matos does a real good job of translating speed to power, along with his high motor, he gets upfield quickly and applies instant pressure.

Monday IDP Wrap Up – Preseason Week 1

This article will be published weekly and will include interesting IDP stats, analysis, and possible sleeper options to pick up as the year progresses. So, without further ado, let’s wrap up the IDP news of NFL Preseason Week One.NFL Football is back baby (let’s be honest, the HOF game doesn’t count) and even though few true starters played much this weekend, we have plenty of exciting game action to over analyze!
 1)      LB Kenny Young, Baltimore Ravens –The Baltimore defense toyed with the Jaguars at home this week, shutting out Jacksonville in a 29-0 beat down. Of the many standouts on defense, Kenny Young was the star, securing five total tackles, including a de-cleater of Gardner Minshew, in his limited time on the field. Young has a chance to be a starting LB for Baltimore. If he is, he’ll have plenty of IDP production in 2019.

2019 IDP Bounce-Back Candidates

In this article, we are going to take a look at a few bounce-back candidates for this season. For whatever the reason these players underperformed a year ago, but I am expecting them to bounce back this season and hopefully help lead fantasy owners to a championship. Let’s see who I believe will return to form in 2019.
DE, Leonard Williams, New York JetsWilliams’ best season came back in 2016 when he posted 68 tackles, seven sacks, and 19 quarterback hits. In the two years since, the Jets defense lost some keys pieces such as Muhammad Wilkerson and Sheldon Richardson, leaving Williams to carry the workload. With not much help, his numbers took a hit. While he still had the opportunity to make plays, with 45 combined quarterback hits the last two seasons, he just didn’t have enough around him to take advantage of these opportunities. Now we look to 2019, and the defense has added some much-needed talent and defenses won’t be able to focus on taking Williams out of the game. They signed big-time free agent CJ Mosley to play next to Avery Williamson and drafted rookie phenom Quinnen Williams, who will play nose tackle and keep teams from game planning around Leonard. Let’s not forget that they have superstar safety Jamal Adams at safety. Now that they have some talent to surround Williams with, I expect him to bounce back to the 2016 version. Teams won’t find it as easy to scheme for just him anymore. I believe 68 and seven-plus sacks is a very reasonable expectation for him this season. He can be had at a low buy value right now in most leagues, so now is the time to acquire him.

Change of Scenery: Tampa Bay to Carolina McCoy Flips Teams in the NFC South

Tampa Bay tried all off-season to trade longtime veteran defensive tackle Gerald McCoy, who spent nine seasons with the Buccaneers, but with no success. They eventually cut their star defender, to save some money against the cap. During his time with the Buccaneers, McCoy played and started in all 123 games he played with Tampa Bay.

Mr. Lee Moves From New York to Kansas City

We continue our change of scenery series with Darron Lee’s move from the New York Jets to the Kansas City Chiefs. Let’s start from the beginning to see how and why this change was made. Sometimes these moves work out great and other times they don’t, but it’s a cycle in the NFL that happens
