IDP Wrap Up: Week 12

Rasul Douglas had another remarkable game at cornerback against Matthew Stafford and the Los Angeles Rams. In his effort, Douglas accrued six total tackles, defended four passes, and took an interception to the house in Lambeau Field on Sunday. Douglas is a great option in BestBall leagues and is in a prime position to contribute in the IDP playoffs.

“Hard Knocks” Premiere: Micah Parsons Shines

I’ve long been a huge fan of the HBO series “Hard Knocks” since its premiere in 2001. Outside of the expected silliness ranging from former Jets’ HC Rex Ryan’s “let’s get a snack” quote to Vince Wilfork’s “naked overalls” episode with the Texans, the show always does a fantastic job of hyping me up for the NFL season. So when the Cowboys were chosen for this year’s series, I mildly cringed at the idiocy that was inbound. And, spoiler alert, Mike McCarthy delivers in droves via an Austin Powers movie clip and fake bravado that brought on a mild panic attack. Yes, it’s insulting to the viewer but even more so to Mike Meyers who’s probably on the line with Jerry Jones negotiating compensation as I write this.

2020 IDP Wrap Up: Off-Ball Linebacker

We learned that the young star linebackers were prepared to dominate once again! These two superstars combined for 280 total tackles (140 each), 32 tackles for loss, and 13 sacks on the season. Finishing just behind these two phenoms was a trio of consistent veterans in Zach Cunningham, Blake Martinez, and Joe Schobert. Barring any major unforeseen changes, the 2020 top five should produce well again in 2021.

Week Four IDP Wrap Up

WHAT WE LEARNED THIS WEEK Philadelphia, winless through three weeks, relied on their defense to pull out their first victory. On Sunday Night Football, the Eagles registered five sacks, a fumble recovery, two interceptions, and a touchdown. Rodney McLeod, Alex Singleton, and Cre’von LeBlanc led the way in IDP production. Looking forward, the Philly defenders

2020 Poor IDP Strength of Schedule

In this series, we analyze the IDP strength-of-schedule for the 2020 NFL season. In IDP fantasy football, fewer opportunities correlate to reduced chances of production and underperforming IDP assets. Today, we’ll focus on low pace-of-play / plays-per-game schedules that a few unlucky defenses will face (based on 2019 data). Let’s take a look at the defenses and IDP defenders who could suffer from their schedule.
