Pre-Season Waiver Wire

Time to shake off the cobwebs and hit those waiver wires in earnest. We have some game tape and some actionable data to make moves based on. This is just a quick hitter. I want you to make sure these players aren’t sitting on your waiver wire and if they are make sure you add them! Don’t forget to bookmark DFF and make sure you’re checking every Tuesday during the season for our regular season suggestions.

QB – C.J. Beathard The former Hawkeye hit fellow former Hawkeye George Kittle for a touchdown off play-action Saturday night. Yes, Beathard was playing in the 2nd half, against other 2nd(3rd) stringers. But he looked comfortable and performed well enough. I like Brian Hoyer, but he’s started more than 10 games twice in his 8-year career. Beathard is going to end up with a few starts this season, bank on it. If you play in Superflex leagues you know anyone that gets a start at QB is worth a roster spot.

RB – De’Angelo Henderson This thick bodied running back, 92% BMI, has my attention. He has the attention of @TheRBScout. He should have your attention as well.

WR – Mack Hollins No more Jordan Matthews. This leaves walking soft tissue injury Alshon Jeffery and mentally fragile Nelson Agholor as the lead wide receivers for the Eagles. That is not great. Hollins scored a TD in his first preseason game and is a special teams standout.

RB – Corey Clement Is Corey Clement any good? Not especially. But today news dropped suggesting that Legarrette Blount might not make the roster, makes Clement an interesting pickup. Wendell Smallwood hasn’t been able to stay healthy, and he’d be the only competition to Clement as the early down back with Blount off the rost.

RB – Tarik Cohen The “Human Joystick” had an excellent showing against Arizona with Jordan Howard taking the game off. He is simply electric.

That’s it for this week. Thanks for reading and give me a holler anytime @DFF_Shane.
